Enemies

"Oh you know. Fine. Have it your way then" Jima said. All the arguing was making her tired and all she really wanted was to go to bed. " Oh no you don't. You won't get away that easily" Vegeta growled. Jima sighed. They had been married for six months now and they were doing good, extremely good actually. But every once in a while Jima felt the need for a huge argument and Jima would start it over something small and stupid. Luckily Vegeta was very easy to pursue into an argument, on the other hand he didn't know when to stop either. Well Jima did and now was the time. " Please Vegeta" she tried, giving him her deadly smile. " I'm tired and just want to go to bed. That's all". Vegeta sighed and sat down next to her. "You're the one who started it". " I know. And I'm sorry. Will you forgive me" and her smile grew even brighter. He kissed her gently. "I will". Jima smiled. "I'm going to bed now then. Are you coming?" " No, I have a few things to take care of before I leave". Jima sighed.

A new planet was discovered somewhere and Vegeta, being Prince of Saiyans, had to go on a mission to check it out. Jima dreaded that he had to leave so much lately. " Of course, how could I forget? And these few things, which by the way probably don't need attention from you anyway, are so much more important then me". She stood up and smoothed out her dress. She hated how she was obligated to wear a dress in the Palace while she would much rather wear a simple pair of trousers. "Jima I didn't say that". " But it's what you meant". "Oh so now you know what I think". " As a matter of fact yes". " So you know what I'm thinking right now?". "Probably the same as me. Goodbye Vegeta, have a nice trip" and with that she stepped out and slammed the door behind her as hard as she could. She started walked down the hall fast and infuriated but eventually her steps became slower and softer until she came to a halt. "Nice going Jima. Now what did you do that for" she told herself. She had been so moody lately never knowing why. " Poor Vegeta. He must be so confused now". She turned around to walk back to the door. Then the world went black before her eyes and she hit the ground.

Vegeta was still sitting down and was looking at the door. He expected it to open up any moment now and Jima would walk in with that smile of hers and she'd tell him she was sorry. Well this time he wouldn't fall for that smile, he promised himself, knowing it was no use anyway. She could make him do anything just by looking at him like that. He loved her so much. And he always thought the feeling was mutual. So why was Jima being so moody lately. Suddenly he couldn't take it anymore. He stood up and opened the door. To his surprise he found the hallway empty. He blinked. That wasn't possible. Jima had been gone for barely five minutes. She could have walked through the hallway that fast but only if she was really serious about leaving him. His stomach tied into a knot. Could she have been? He shook his head as if to block out the thought. No, impossible. They had far worse fights then this one. So where was she then? He closed the door being him and started walking down the hall. At the end of the hallway he came to the door, which separated it from the rest of the Palace. It was the only exit out of the hallway. "Hey you" Vegeta growled to one of the guards standing next to it. The guard winced at the tone of his voice. " Ye..yes your Highness?". "Have you seen my wife coming through here?". The guard blinked and then shook his head. " No I haven't seen the Princess today". Vegeta turned around trying to hide his disappointment. He started walking back. He was thinking what she could have done when his eyes back a dark spot on the ground. He knelt down by it. His finger touched it and he pulled back immediately. It was warm. Almost afraid to he hesitatingly stood up and walked to one of the torches in the hallway. The liquid was dark red. It was blood.

Jima moaned and opened her eyes slowly. She blinked to the darkness trying to let her eyes get used to it. She looked around and saw she was in a small room. She was lying on the ground. She tried to sit up and winced. Her head was hurting terribly. "What happened to me?". She touched the back of her head and could feel an enormous bump on it. "Ouch". She left it alone and tried to remember what happened. She remembered that she fainted but after that it was all a blank. She sniffed and almost threw up. " Some how I doubt this is the Palace" she said. " You'd be wrong then" someone said. She narrowed her eyes and tried to find the source of the voice. She could see a small figure in the corner of the room. It had been standing there the whole time, she guessed. " We still are in the Palace. Who would think to search for us here?". The voice was warm and definitely male. She didn't recognize it though.

"Who are you? And what did you do to me". " Who I am is none of your concern and what you feel on the back of your head would be the bump my fist gave you". She narrowed her eyes and wished there would be some light in the room so she could get a better look at the man. "What's the meaning of all this?". "Isn't it obvious. You've been kidnapped". She could see that he was slightly surprised by her reaction. " What? You expect me to break down and cry, begging you to let me go?". "Most women would have, but not you I suppose". Jima smirked. "I'll take that as a compliment". She could hear him chuckle. " Why did you kidnap me?". "You're a smart girl. Figure it out for yourself". "I'm guessing it has something to do with my connection to the royal family". "Something like that". "So now what? You're going to ask money for my return?". "No". "I'm guessing it has some deeper motive then". "You're a tough one, you can handle the truth. No this kidnapping is only good for one thing". "And that would be?". "Your death.."
