Proto is an unabashed rip-off of DC's Kamandi, which was in itself an unabashed rip-off of the Planet of the Apes movies. Proto, a character from my Planet of the Dinosaurs series, spins off into his own comic here, hurrying through the origin setup in the first two pages in order to get to the action, which is mainly fighting off an anthropomorphic lion-dude.
