The sole surviving issue of Water Boy is also the final issue, in which our hero is killed off on Page 2 by his nemesis The Spearsman. Water Boy, who could transform into sentient and motile water, fails do so for some reason when a spear is hurled into his face (even though he has time to comment on it as the spear is in mid-air - "oh no! The Spearsman threw the spear!")
Greg Hisle's Mary Marvel is a guest in the comic, and her appearances in each panel are drawn by Hisle himself, even though our styles were quite different. The end result reminds me of those comics done by R.Crumb and his wife Aline together.
