Boost Your Career With Hypnotherapy

Are you feeling stuck in your job or has your career plateaued?  Maybe you’d like to try something new but feel you have too much invested in your current job to leave it? You may be surprised to know that hypnotherapy can help you to boost your career and to move forward in your life.

Often we hold ourselves back from achieving our dreams, getting promotions, a new job or even changing careers because of fears or self-limiting beliefs.  Sometimes people don’t even go after promotions or new jobs because they think it would be too stressful.  Better the devil they know then the risk/fear of the unknown.

Hypnosis or hypnotherapy has been used successfully to help people with self-defeating habits like smoking and being overweight. It works well to reduce stress and to enhance self-confidence.  Hypnotherapy can also help you to move ahead in your career, to get a new job and to even change careers.

How does it work?

The hypnotherapist guides you into a state of relaxation and then into hypnosis, a natural state in which your subconscious mind is alert and open to positive suggestions.  While you are in hypnosis, your critical conscious mind is bypassed and the positive suggestions that go directly into the subconscious help you to let go of fears and other obstacles or resistances that are holding you back.

Visiting a hypnotherapist, is not the same as what you might have seen on TV or in a live performance where a stage hypnotist hypnotizes people in the audience who then do silly things for the entertainment and amusement of the audience.  In private practice, the hypnotherapist works with the client to ensure that he or she is comfortable, understands hypnosis and takes a case history in order to understand the client’s problem/concern that she/he wants to work on.

While you are in hypnosis, you are always in control and you can not be made to do anything you do not want to do.  You will not reveal any secrets and you can not get stuck in hypnosis.  What you will experience, is a deep state of relaxation, not sleep.  You may experience heaviness or lightness in your arms or other parts of your body as you go into hypnosis.  This is a pleasant experience and when you emerge from hypnosis generally you will feel refreshed and alert.

The first session is an opportunity for you and the hypnotherapist to discuss in detail what it is you want to achieve, what are the benefits to reaching your goal and what barriers you might have to reaching it. For example, if you want to advance in your career, then you and the hypnotherapist will work together on suggestions that are positive, simple and measurable.  These suggestions will be repeated to you while you are in hypnosis.

They will replace negative beliefs and thoughts that have been preventing you from moving forward in your career.  And at the same time you will use your imagination in positive ways to make changes.

Self-Hypnosis Helps you Reach your Goal

As well, your hypnotherapist will teach you self-hypnosis so that you can practise hypnosis at home, helping you to reach your goal of getting a promotion or a new job faster.

Hypnotherapy is very much a healing art that relies on the hypnotherapist’s intention to work for the highest good of the client. The unspoken messages that are received are just as important to the healing atmosphere as the spoken suggestions. In turn, the client needs to have a strong desire to reach their goal and to practise self-hypnosis in-between sessions with the hypnotherapist.

Positive changes can be made in a few sessions, opening new opportunities for you and your career.
