1986 saw my enlistment in the Delayed Entry Program of the United States Army and my engagement to be married. It spanned my junior and senior years at Mount Anthony Union High School, and I was fortunate to have Mr. Hutchins for junior English, then for the Senior Writing Seminar, an English elective. Hutch continues to be a friend and an important part of my life, and I would like to dedicate this section to him. Please read on for the poems of 1986.
