Chaplain, help me, help me deal
With my problems from the past.
Help me think in clearer channels
About the life which I will have.
My mind is seething with raw emotions -
Fears and worries of my childhood.
All my problems are leading me
Over the line of stability.
Chaplain, help me, help me ask God
For strength for this, and for mortal help.
Chaplain, help me, for I need you
To lead me through this crisis time.
Chaplain, hear me, hear me crying,
Hear the pain which my past invokes.
