It is dark.
I am cold.
The dark frightens me.
There is no life
In the darkness.
No knowledge grows
Where light cannot be.
Light is not in darkness,
And life must have knowledge.
Nothing can be
In darkness.
Only cold,
And death,
And fear,
And despair
Can be in darkness.
The dark is not forever.
It can be shattered.
The sun lights the darkness.
Love warms the darkness.
Knowledge brings life
To where the darkness was.
I will be warm again.
Light will come.
