Come, my children,
Gather near.
Hear the story
Of a long-ago era.
Hear the songs
Of warriors, bold,
And of dragons,
And ladies of old.
In those days knights
And chivalry ruled,
And every quest
Was as for a jewel.
The jewels of old
Were of many kinds:
Religious odysseys,
To magic hinds.
In days of old,
When the world was young,
Life was more vital,
And great deeds were done.
