Innocence Lost

Suns and moons and stars revolve
As man tries to his troubles solve.
Children play and laugh and grow
In a world of love and joy
With sun above and earth below.
Children cry and fall and die
As their elders cleanse the world
With bombs and missiles from the sky.
Suns and moons and stars go round
Marking the time of once-sacred ground.
Man in his wisdom and his might
Has found a means to cleanse his land
By force, without dirtying a single hand,
By ending all in holocaustal night.
