From the great Connecticut River,
To the shores of Lake Champlain,
From the Massachusetts border,
To the Canadian,
From mountaintops to valleys,
From metropolis to farm,
This is our home forever,
The great state of Vermont.
Our mountains green beneath blue skies
And lakes crystal clear and cold
Our rivers teaming with glistening fish
And our capital crowned in gold,
Our friendly village commons
With their greetings always warm,
Our universities and cities
Make the great State of Vermont.
