Bzz. Bzz. The busy bee
Builds from wax a bonnie hive
Where the other bees may live
In a hollow maple tree.
Men come by to steal the walls
Of wax for making candle light,
And desecrate the honeyed halls.
Dip. Dip. The candle grows
As wax builds layer on layer so thick
To fill the pewter candle stick,
Then, lit by match, the candle glows.
The light in turn sustains the beeman
Who ever glories in the royal flight
Which starts the flow of wax again.
