My weakness for a uniform
Coupled with my broken heart
Led me to your open arms
And, sadly, to your bed.
I thought that I had fallen
In love with you but now
I see you for the man you are.
And know I cannot love you.
You used my love to fill your need
When it was convenient,
I thank my God that I was wrong
When I thought that I was pregnant.
I've said goodbye and gone my way
And now I will find closure
In written words that are so true -
Unlike the words you've spoken.
