The strangest feeling,
Falling in love again,
I don't know how
To behave with him.
We have been friends
For almost a year
And just last night
He called on the phone.
He said he wanted
To ask me a question,
But that he couldn't
Ask it for nerves.
He asked if I could
Find him a girlfriend;
I said I know one
Who would go out with him.
He asked me her name
And I was embarrassed;
He asked me again
And I said it was me.
He said that his eyes
Would melt a mirror;
He said that his eyes
Were shining so bright.
He said he was happy,
He asked if I meant it;
I told him I did,
And that I, too, was glad.
I truly don't know
How all this happened;
I've wished and dreamed
For ever so long.
The strangest feeling
Is falling in love again;
Now I will learn
How to behave.
