I dream
The impossible dream.
I fight
An unbeatable foe;
I bear
An unbearable sorrow;
I run,
But there's too far to go;
My love
Is impossibly strong;
I love
Over miles too far;
I try,
Though my eyes are too teary;
To see
The mosost beautiful stars:
It is my life,
To follow the stars,
Though my love is hopeless,
Though he is so far;
I fight for the right,
Without question or pause;
I am willing to march into Hell
When his love is my cause.
And I know
If I'll only be true
To my love and my life,
That my heart
Will lie peaceful and calm
When I end my world's strife.
And a man
Will be happy in this:
That a girl,
With heart covered with scars,
Still strove
Over miles of ocean
To see
The most beautiful stars.
I dream
The impossible dream;
I fight
An unbeatable foe;
I bear
An unbearable sorrow;
I run,
But there's too far to go.
I run,
But there's too far to go;
And my road
Is forever too hard;
I try,
With eyes painfully teary
To see
The most beautiful stars.
I'll see
The most beautiful stars
When my life
Is at long last my own;
I live
With my heart nearly bursting,
To the stars
Where I will find
My love!
