Man and woman in the morn
Meet with joy, come face to face;
Love in beauty then is born
In the couple's warm embrace.
Noontime comes in all its glory,
Then the evening rich with joy;
The years are passing and the story
Finds woman and man from girl and boy.
Nighttime comes and with it parting
As the lovers finally sleep;
Nighttime's darkness hides the smarting
As the worlds in sorrow weep.
Never more can there be harms
For lovers ever in each other's arms.
