Child of the world of old,
In his wonderland of gold,
Love comes sweetly as the dove
From the Father up above.
Morning cries in hopeful yearning
As the child life is learning.
Child grows to elder man
Living life while yet he can,
And ages pass before the knell
Sounds with Heaven's tolling bell.
Evening cries in saddest song
For the man wo knew no wrong.
Child of the earthly plane
Rises to the heights again;
God in splendor bids him come
To his everlasting home.
Suns and moons turn days to night
As God's Son returns to Light.
