Since you left me.
The tears fall
From reddened eyes.
My little games
Have caused heartbreak.
Your angry words
Have made me cry.
I love you, darling,
As my brother.
My husband's love
I'll not betray.
My love for you
Is strong and painful;
It needs no words,
Nor wedding day.
I'm sorry, dear one,
To have hurt you,
But now I only
Weep for you.
I'm so alone
Since you left me.
The one true trust
Of my past is gone.
