One time just a few minutes before I was to speak at a church program, Mrs. Scott slipped off her diamond ring and a wide stretched gold bracelet and put them on my hand, and I went to the front of the church with my arm hanging in a most unusual position. I was so conscious of my newly acquired jewelry that it was a wonder I didn't forget my reading.
