AKA Poppy

I am a 9 year old Russian Arabian Gelding. I was bred by a nice couple from Pa. They own a farm called Swan Lake Arabians. I came to live with the Steggs in August of 97. I have settled down nicely since they bought a farm and mom is taking care of me.. They had the hardest time finding a sutiable boarding situation in Delaware. I love being in my own home.. I am the boss!!

My favorite things to do are: eating; pooping; being scratched; chasing my brother(who is a real pig); I love chasing dogs; I love to fool my rider and make sure they are paying attention.. hehehehe.. Overall, I am a nice horse who loves a challenge. You can see my image in this background.. I will show you some better photos, though..

This is me giving my favorite passenger a ride. She and I have a special bond. I came into her life when she was just 1.. When she would cry, I would stop what I was doing and check on her.. She and I were both delivered by the same person.. My original owner was a human Ob/Gyn and Labor and delivery nurse. Savannah and I will always have the special connection.. Matter of fact, when she asks me a question, I shake my head yes.. I love to amuse her.. She is scared of my size, but I just love her.

Well that's my story and I am sticking to it.. Want to know more? I prefer a centered rider. I like to take advantage of people who don't have a clue. I prefer a full cheeked snaffle. You don't need to use the bit too much because I listen to your seat and legs very well. Be kind and gentle and you will get the best horse experience from me. If you are not confident, I will take advantage of you..
