Welcome to the Escaflowne Zone, a fan site in honor of what's been called "the most beautiful anime series ever," Tenkuu no Escaflowne. to the Duke of Freid When my friend Mitzie & I saw Tenkuu no Escaflowne, we were hooked by the first few episodes and had to see all 26 of them. And although we got depressed by the ending, i do see that it's both reasonable & poignant, as it should be! Plus it lets me hope for future possibilities (there's a movie, which i haven't seen yet). The story of my love of Escaflowne is not without suffering, because the videos i watched were HECTO fan subbed, and while they were okay for the first few episodes, later on the subtitles changed to a font that was hard to read, and the English phrasing became really awkward. But because i was already hopelessly in love with the series, i stuck with it to the end. ^_^ Reasons Why I Love Tenkuu no Escaflowne
Hey, Michael A (as in Animeniac), benevolent despot of The Node, if you ever see this, i just want you to know that although i was doubtful about Tenkuu no Escaflowne at first, it won me over cause it really is as great as you said it'd be, so you have my eternal gratitude for letting me know about it...you have the right to say "i told you so!"
