Whether it's an Alien or a Babe of the Week or even a good old 'Fleeter, every once in a while someone shows up on Voyager who manages to create merry mayhem or knock the socks off of one of the main crew members.
      What better way to look at our favorite characters to hate by remembering them as potent potables?
      Here's a little selection of recipes, in honor of this romantic day, to add a little zing to life!



      MICHAEL

      BETWEEN THE SHEETS

      1 ounce brandy
      1 ounce Cointreau
      1 ounce light rum
      1/2 ounce lemon juice (optional)
      3 or 4 ice cubes

      Add all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass.

      Serves 1.


      KELLIN

      BRAZEN HUSSY

      1 ounce vodka
      1 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
      1/2 ounce lemon juice

      In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

      Serves 1.


      CHAOTICA

      CRIMSON ROYALE

      A lovely champagne cocktail.

      12 tablespoons frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate, thawed
      6 teaspoons cranberry liqueur
      6 teaspoons orange liqueur
      1 bottle champagne or other sparkling wine

      12 whole fresh cranberries
      6 orange slices, folded in half
      6 bamboo skewers

      Measure 2 tablespoons cranberry concentrate, 1 teaspoon cranberry liqueur and 1 teaspoon orange liqueur into each of 6 champagne flutes. Top with champagne.

      Thread 1 cranberry, 1 orange slice and then another cranberry onto each skewer. Place skewers atop glasses.

      Q

      CUPID

      3 ounces sherry
      1 egg
      1 teaspoon superfine sugar
      Pinch cayenne pepper
      3 or 4 ice cubes

      Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass.

      Note: If there is a problem with eggs in your region, do not prepare this recipe.

      Serves 1.


      ALICE

      DANCE WITH A DREAM

      2 ounces brandy
      1/2 ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec
      1 teaspoon anisette

      In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

      Serves 1.


      SESKA

      FALLEN ANGEL

      3 ounces gin
      4 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
      2 dashes green créme de menthe
      Dash Angostura bitters
      Maraschino cherry

      Combine all ingredients except the cherry with ice cubes in a mixing glass and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and decorate with cherry.

      Serves 1.


      VORIK

      FUZZY NAVEL

      1 ounce vodka
      1 ounce peach schnapps
      4 ounces orange juice

      Pour all of the ingredients into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well.

      Serves 1.


      RILEY FRASIER

      HIGHLAND FLING

      1 1/2 ounces Scotch whisky
      3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
      2 dashes orange bitters
      1/2 cup crushed ice
      Olive

      Combine all the ingredients except the olive in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass. Add the olive.

      Serves 1.


      MAJE CULLAH

      HONEYMOON

      1 1/2 ounces applejack
      2/3 ounces Bénédictine
      2 tablespoons lemon juice
      3 dashes curaçao
      3 or 4 ice cubes

      Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass.

      Serves 1.


      KASHYK

      HOT WHITE RUSSIAN

      2 1/2 cups freshly brewed coffee
      1/2 cup heavy cream
      1/2 cup Kahlúa or other coffee-flavored liqueur, or to taste
      1/4 cup vodka, or to taste
      whipped heavy cream for garnish if desired

      In a saucepan stir together the coffee, the 1/2 cup cream, the Kahlúa, and the vodka and heat the mixture over moderate heat until it is hot. Divide the mixture among heated mugs and garnish each drink with some of the whipped cream.


      NOSS

      LOVE

      2 ounces sloe gin
      1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
      1/2 teaspoon raspberry juice
      1 egg white
      3 or 4 ice cubes
      Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass.

      Note: If there is a problem with eggs in your region, do not prepare this recipe.

      Serves 1.

      VALERIE ARCHER

      MAIDEN'S BLUSH

      1 1/2 ounces gin
      3/4 ounce Pernod
      1 teaspoon grenadine
      3 or 4 ice cubes

      Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

      Serves 1.


      ANNORAX

      MAN OF THE MOMENT

      1 1/2 ounces Scotch
      1 ounce Grand Marnier
      1 ounce lemon juice
      1 teaspoon grenadine

      In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

      Serves 1.


      BORG QUEEN

      MERRY WIDOW

      1 to 1 1/2 ounces gin
      1 to 1 1/2 ounces dry vermouth
      2 dashes Pernod
      2 dashes Benedictine
      Dash Peychaud's or orange bitters
      3 or 4 ice cubes
      Twist lemon peel

      Combine all ingredients, except peel, in a mixing glass and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass; drop in peel.

      Serves 1.


      RUDY RANSOM

      SEX ON THE BEACH

      1 ounce vodka
      1 ounce peach schnapps
      2 ounces orange juice
      2 ounces cranberry juice

      Pour all of the ingredients into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well.

      Serves 1.


      SEVEN OF NINE
      (Post-Endgame...) WILD SEX

      Rum (coconut) 1 oz.
      Rum (151 proof) 1/2 oz. .
      Schnapps (peach) 1/2 oz. .
      Cranberry Juice 1 oz. .
      Grenadine splash.
      Orange Juice 1 oz. .
      Pineapple Juice 1 oz.

      Mixing instructions: .
      Shake everything (except grenadine) with ice. Pour into a hurricane glass with some ice, splash a bit of grenadine over the ice.
