Dear Connor, on the first anniversary of your birth, many people around the world were thinking of you and the wonderful love you brought into the world. We cried for your passing and celebrated the joy of your life. You will always be remembered and loved by us all. Never forget. |
To celebrate your birthday, a poem in your honour from your "uncle" Phil OKelly |
I have seen the mountains and I have smiled, I see my reflection in every child, I will walk on grass and wet my feet, And who knows how many more people I'll meet. |
I have swum in the sea and I have flown, Where I lay my hat, my home, I have no hate because I have no fear, For those who hate I shed a tear. |
I have felt the rain upon my cheek, I am proud I cried when I felt weak, there are friends that I have yet to make, And the ones I know will never fake. |
I have eaten fruit from forbidden trees, I will raise mankind up from its knees, I have heard the sond of the mornings' birds, I have danced the dance of a thousand words. |
I have swum with the stars in the sky at night, I have walked on the sun and given it light, I have held the moon in the palm of my hand, And felt the Earth's pulse by touching the land. |
I have been given love an ocean deep, I have been dreamed a kiss in my deepest sleep. I behold a flower, the sweetest rose, And although complete, this love yet grows. |
And through this love I am a man, I breathe it in for all I can, I draw it in till I fill my soul, Then give it back to the world as a whole. |
All this I do from my mothers heart, The 11th of June, the day that I start, Our pulses merged, in her smile we come one. I stand Connor Adam Powell, her son. |
