Ten minutes...?
"I love you," she screamed in the madness of her dream.
"Don't you know that?"
"Give it back!"
Exquisite flames of passion and desire
licked at her spine,
teasing the deepest part of her soul.
"Give it back...give it back, you fool!"
He held her heart gently for a moment,
beating quickly next to his,
offering nothing but it's bittersweet return.
"I can't," he replied.
