Some of our favourite activities

We are a very active unit and like to get out and about as often as we can. We camp at least once a year (twice if we can manage it!) and try to spend fine evening meetings out of doors, either on a cook-out, playing wide games or simply enjoying ourselves on the playing field. In the winter we do indoor activites - we go ten-pin bowling, swimming, and to the cinema.

Here are some of our favourite activities, captured on camera!

BACKWOODS COOKING - there is nothing like the taste of cremated (sorry, toasted) marshmallows and dampers, well-flavoured with ash and aphids.....

Carol, one of our leaders, abseiling at Raywell Scout Camp. (We insist that if they want us to do anything, they've got to have a go as well!) It's a good job we can't hear what she's saying!!

Summer camp at Bail Wood, with the tents all beautifully brailed to air them and give us shelter from the sun. Unfortunately, we don't always get such glorious weather.
