Virtual Mascot Page

After losing two out of our three travelling mascots somewhere in the USA, we decided to withdraw from the Mascot Exchange program and go in for "Virtual Mascot" hosting instead.

Virtual mascots have lots of advantages over sending real mascots out on visits : they cost nothing to send, they can't get lost in the post and they can visit more than one host at a time.

Our virtual mascot is called Christine : the real Christine (see this page) is far too precious to risk sending her away, but her "Virtual Self" has already visited Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world and in spite of the actual unit closing she is still willing to travel! If you want her to visit your site too, just follow the instructions below.

If you would like to host our mascot just follow these instructions:

  • Move your mouse to place the cursor (pointer) over the mascot .
  • Click the RIGHT mouse button ONCE.
  • A grey pop-up menu will appear; LEFT click on "Save picture As."
  • Another menu will appear; don't alter the image name or type in the boxes at the bottom of the menu, but choose where you want to save it to in the box at the top of the menu.
  • Click on "Save."
  • Upload the image to your own website and add it to your page just the same as any other picture.
  • Please add a link to our site so that other people can have the chance of hosting our mascot too.
  • Send us an email to let us know she is visiting you, and let us know where your website is so we can come and see where she is staying.
