Eknath Maharaj is credited for his great work in the form of Eknathi Bhagwat. He lived the life which he exhorted others to live. His house was a place of rest and food for all his guests. Many of the devotees who regularly attended his discourses used to take food at his home. His scheme of things was such that he always had sufficient food for all his guests. There are some remarkable instances in his life. On hearing some persons as saying that they do not have right to eat the delicious food cooked in the house of Eknath, he invited and served them with the delicious food. He was carrying sacred water of Ganga for performing abhishek in a temple. He saw a donkey lying on the ground due to thirst. He poured the water gently in the mouth of the donkey. The others who were accompanying him mocked at him. Soon they realised that he was right. |

I do not want this person to become my husband. His house is in a bad condition. The roof is in a bad condition. There is no place for God's Home is his house. My saree is torn. My blouse is having patches. There is no thread for sewing. A very ordinary vegeable is cooked in his home and there is no sufficient oil for cooking. Now Eknath Maharaj wants her to understand that the all-pervading God is present everywhere and there is no need to 'hate' ( action should be taken to change ) any situation. |
