Today Show Outdoor Concert
On Tuesday November 23, 2004, Bon Jovi was the musical guest on NBC's Today Show Outdoor Concert.

They performed "You Give Love A Bad Name", "It's My Life" (chosen by an online vote) and "Radio Save My Life Tonight".


Borgata Concert
On Sunday November 21, 2004, Bon Jovi performed some songs from the boxset at a special concert at the Borgata in Atlantic City. The show was broadcast live on InHD. It was also webcast over the internet.

Box Set Released
On Tuesday November 16, 2004, Bon Jovi's first ever box set was released in the USA and Canada. First week sales in the USA were 28,000 copies landing the band at number 53 on the top 100 Billboard chart. In Canada the boxset debuted at number 48.

Due to manfacturing delays in Europe, the release around the world was delayed to November 22 or later. The release date in Japan is sometime in December.

Bon Jovi Receives AMA Award of Merit
On November 14, 2004, Bon Jovi were awarded with an award of merit at the 32nd annual American Music Awards in Los Angeles. They also performed "It's My Life" and a teaser snippet of "Have A Nice Day" a song from their new album expected to be released in spring 2005.


Jon at John Kerry Election Night Rally
Jon continued to support the Democratic Party during the recent presidential election in the USA. He performed songs at some of John Kerry's campaign rallys and was on hand in Boston on November 2, 2004 for his election night rally.

Unfortunately, for the Democratic Party, current president, George Bush, jr., was re-elected.

New Album News!
Right on the heels of the box set news, comes news about a new Bon Jovi album.

On August 23, WMMR radio station interviewed Jon about the dedication of a new playground for the Northern Home For Children in Manayunk built and paid for by Jon's indoor indoor Arena League Football team, the Philadelphia Soul. During the interview they also discussed the box set, as well as a new Bon Jovi album which Jon said would be out by MARCH 2005. He said the album was being produced by John Shanks who produced Sheryl Crow's "First Cut is the Deepest". Jon ended the interview with "But I can’t wait to play the new record. It rocks."

Although it continues to be a slow news year, Jon & Richie did show up in the news this weekend.
Jon & Richie at John Kerry Rally
On August 13, Jon & Richie performed at a rally in Portland, Oregon, for Democratic Presidential nominee, John Kerry.

They performed "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Livin' On A Prayer".

Even though the band are on hiatus, Jon has been keeping himself busy. Not only has he become a new father, he has been attending every game of his football team the "Philadelphia Soul". Plus, he's set to begin filming the National Lampoon film "The Trouble With Frank".

And on April 16 he, along with the band Blink 182, attended a rally at the University of Pittsburgh with John Kerry, the US Democratic presidential candidate. Jon performed 3 songs: Someday I'll Be Saturday Night, Livin' On A Prayer and (What's So Funny Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding (a Elvis Costello cover song). He was accompanied on guitar by Bobby Bandiera and on violin by Lorenza Ponce. During the rally, John Kerry said, "Jon Bon Jovi and I have a lot in common," the Democrat said. "He was one of the 50 most beautiful people in People magazine. I read People magazine."

Another son for Jon and Dorothea!
Congratulations to Jon and his wife Dorothea! Their son, Romeo Jon, was born on Monday March 29, 2004 in New Jersey and weighed 9 pounds 7 ounces. This is the 4th child for Jon and Dorothea, and a brother for Stephanie Rose, Jesse James Louis and Jacob Hurley.

Richie and Heather attend NBA All-Star game
On February 15, 2004, Richie and Heather attended the NBA All-Star game at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Productionweekly.com reports another movie role for Jon
The website www.productionweekly.com is reporting that Jon will play the title character in National Lampoon's The Trouble with Frank.

Sal Catalano, William Dozier, J. David Shapiro and Matty Simmons have written a script about long-time loser and chronic dreamer Frank Hopper, who is convinced he's hit the jackpot when he receives a credit card in the mail. Soon he's on his way to financing his dream of creating an all women ice hockey team, and also in debt to the tune of over three hundred thousand dollars.

The comedy is set to shoot next month in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Baby boy for Tico and Alejandra!
Congratulations to Tico and his wife Alejandra! Their son, Hector Alexander, was born on Friday January 9, 2004 in Florida. This is Tico's first child.
