Bon Jovi Book To Be Released in Fall 2009
Online news sites are reporting that "Bon Jovi is ready to spill" and to mark the band's 25th anniversary a book called ""Bon Jovi: When We Were Beautiful" will be released in the fall of 2009. This book will include previously unpublished photographs and text by the band members. The publisher, Harper-Collins, released a statement advising that "The book offers unprecedented insights into the members' lives on stage, on the road, and at home, as well as intimate reflections on the highs and lows of their 25 years together". Since there have been other books announced, but never released, we will have to wait till after the summer to see if this one makes it to the bookstore shelves or not.

Bon Jovi To Perform In Las Vegas on April 24, 2009
On April 24, Bon Jovi will perform at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. Tickets went on sale on February 28th. Check out Ticketmaster for ticket availability.

Bon Jovi To Perform In New Orleans on May 2, 2009
Bon Jovi is one of the bands who will perform at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Bon Jovi will perform on May 2 at the Fair Grounds Race Course. Check out Ticketmaster for ticket availability.

Jon Bon Jovi and Friends Perform At Fanclub Show
On February 23, Jon and Friends performed a private concert for members of the Backstage with Jon Bon Jovi fanclub. Those in attendance, who paid $250 USD to attend, were treated to a night of rarities.

Jon Performs at "We Are One" Concert in Washington, DC
On January 18, Jon performed a duet with Bettye LaVette at the "We Are One" concert held on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The concert was one of the events leading up to the inauguration of president-elect Barack Obama on January 20th. The pair sang the Sam Cooke civil-rights anthem "A Change Is Gonna Come." During the final chorus they rewrote the lyrics to say "Change has come".

Jon and Richie Writing Songs For New Album
Although there has been no official announcement, Jon and Richie have both recently mentioned that they have begun writing songs for the next album.

In an interview with Billboard.com, Richie advised that they were mixing a live DVD of the Lost Highway tour, and that they were writing new songs for a 2nd Great Hits album which would likely be released as a package in fall 2009.

And in a letter to the fanclub, Jon stated that he joined Richie in Los Angeles in September and they had written 12 songs so far for a rock record which would be produced by John Shanks.

Their comments, although similar, left it unclear as to whether it will be an album of all New Songs or Greatest Hits.

Jon performs at Hope Concert in New Jersey
On Monday December 22, 2008 Jon was one of the performers at the Hope Concert which raised more than $250,000 for the Parker Family Health Center in Red Bank, New Jersey and gathered thousands of cans of donated food for the foodbank. Other performers were Bruce Springsteen (pictured performing with Jon), Bobby Bandiera and Southside Johnny. Jon sang "Blue Christmas" (after which he said "Hope you all are tryin' to be good in this crazy time. It's an exciting time, too. We've got a big change comin' in the new year. And I'll be glad to kiss 2008 good-bye)", plus "Lost Highway" and "Who Says You Can't Go Home."

Bon Jovi Top Touring Act Of 2008
Billboard has announced that the Lost Highway Tour was the highest grossing act of 2008, taking in $210.6 million. In 2nd place was Bruce Springsteen at $204.5 million.
