Hondo's
Kenny accompanied Hal on
the guitar and performed some harmony as well. The concert took place at
Hondo's, an old west styled restaurant on Main St. The stage was small,
and seating was up close and personal. Hal began the set with 'Past The
Point of Rescue', and followed with 'I Know Where Love Lives'. With many,
many more in between including 'Traveling Teardrop Blues', and 'Tupelo
Honey'. And, he closed with an encore acappella performance of 'Trail of
Tears' (all of which I love).
Being an accomplished guitarist, Kenny expounded on the melodies, giving them a life of their own. The melodies were smooth and sweet, and Hal seemed to cheer him on as he played. It was a good show enjoyed by all.
