"Mimi, what are you doing?" asked Palmon.

"I'm looking for the perfect outfit. Tai said he needed a diversion to get into the club, and what better diversion than me?" she replied, full of energy. She was throwing clothes left and right. She looked at a green mini skirt and blue and purple tank top. She shook her head and threw the mini skirt. It landed on Palmon's head. "Besides, it's a couple's club. I know the bouncer. He'll let me in."

"What's a bouncer Mimi?" asked Palmon. She took the skirt off her head.

"It's a person that guards the front of a club, to make sure no one dangerous gets in." she replied.

"Oh." said Palmon "Mimi, who are you going with?"

"Tai. He's the one that has the key. Remember. Gennai gave it to him."



*flashback*



"Now. Listen everybody! You need to get back to the Digiworld. It's in complete shambles! A new evil has taken it over, and we need your help!" said Gennai. He was being projected on Izzy's laptop.

"How do we get back?" asked Izzy. "Is there a way we can open a rift, to take us back?"

"Yes. Tai come here." Tai moved closer to the screen. "Take this." a little orb of light hit his crest. "You and Mimi are the only ones who can open the rift."

"Why us?" asked Mimi.

"Just because." replied Gennai.

"Very technical Gennai!" said Joe under his breath.

"My transmission is being cut. I have to go. Izzy, I've downloaded instructions on where you can find the rift." With that he disappeared.

Izzy opened his computer. "According to Gennai, the rift is on Nagano and Nikaeru. Building 368, to be exact!"

"Hey, that's the night club for couples only!" said Matt. Mimi laughed at that. "What's so funny Mimi?" he asked.

"Well, since Tai and I are the only ones that can use the key, hee hee hee, I guess we're a couple now." she stated.

"That's true." said Tai. He pulled Mimi onto his lap. "How about a date tonight? Sweetheart!" he giggled too. They burst out laughing. Matt and Sora stared at them. The color drained from their faces.



*end of flashback*



"Perfect!" shouted Mimi. "Once again Palmon, I've chosen the most amazing outfit in the entire galaxy!"

"Let me see Mimi!" cried an eager Palmon. Mimi stepped out of her bathroom. She had on a low cut, mini, gold dress, that hugged to her curves, and black leather boots that reached her knee. She had her hair pulled back into a French twist, with a piece of hair hanging down. She had gold body glitter over her shoulders and chest, and she was wearing gold, shimmer lipstick and eye shadow. As usual, she was wearing her digivice and crest.

"Mimi, you look great!" exclaimed Palmon.

"Thanks Palmon." said Mimi. She looked at her alarm clock 9:05. "Oh no! I'm supposed to meet Tai at the club in 15 minute!" she grabbed her coat and ran out the door.



"Tai, hurry up! You're gonna be late!" yelled Agumon.

"Wait a minute. I'm attempting to get the brush into my hair!" screamed Tai from the bathroom.

Five minutes later



"There. Done." he said triumphantly. He was wearing a short sleeved black shirt with a longer black shirt underneath and black jeans. His hair was framing his slender face. 'No more mop.' he thought relieved.

"Snazzy." said Agumon. "You look different with your hair combed."

"Thanks, let's get going." replied Tai, as he ran out the door. 'Only 10 minutes to get there.' he thought.

"Where are they? I'm getting bored." said T.K. He yawned, and sat down.

"Hey, don't worry. They'll be here soon." said Matt reassuringly. He smiled at T.K. 'Relax Matt. It's not a real date. They're just going in, so we can get back to the Digiworld. That's all.' he sighed.

'It's killing him too. He doesn't like the idea of Mimi and Tai going into the bar. Together!' said Sora to herself. 'They're doing this to save the Digiworld. They really don't like each other. Do they? Stop it Sora. Mimi likes Matt. She told you. Now, grow up and stop acting jealous.'

"Hey, sorry we're late. It took us a little while to get here." said Mimi. "Here are my other clothes." she handed Sora a bag.

"Yeah, here are mine." said Tai handing a bag to Matt.

Mimi took off her coat. "WOW! Mimi, you look incredible." said Tai. His eyes were about to fall out of his head.

"Thanks Tai. You look great too!"

'She's right.' thought Sora. 'He looks so cute.'

'She looks like a goddess!' screamed Matt's mind. He wanted to reach out and pull her into a long kiss. 'Damn, Gennai. Why couldn't it be me and Mimi?' Mimi was watching Matt. His eyes were practically glazed over. She knew he was looking at her. Sora, on the other hand, was almost drooling, while gazing at Tai.

"All right, go up to the 3rd floor, and turn left. Open the gateway. We'll be in ASAP" said Izzy. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I turned our digivice's into walkie talkies. If you guys get into any sort of trouble, we'll be there as soon as we can. But only Matt and Sora's work. I miscalculated the frequence for the rest of ours. Sorry!"

"No problem Izzy. It happens!" replied Tai happily. He grabbed Mimi's arm and pulled her toward the line to get into the club. The rest ran to the back of the club. Matt and Sora watched from a distance.

"Come this way Tai. I can get us in quicker." they heard Mimi's voice. (They were listening on their digivices.) "Hey, Jake. Who do I have to kill to get into this place?" asked Mimi. A huge smile appeared on her face.

"Mimi. Wow! How long has it been? A year? God! You've gotten even hotter!" said Jake. He kissed her cheeks and turned to Tai, "You're one lucky dude. You got one of the hottest and wildest partiers in Japan!" (That's my next story!)

"Don't I know it!" he pulled Mimi close and kissed her. He had no clue what he was talking about, but he shrugged it off, and kept on kissing Mimi.

Matt and Sora's face's went white. They couldn't believe what was happening. Matt thought he was going to collapse. Tai knew how much he liked Mimi, so why was he kissing her? Was this his idea of a sick, come back joke? Maybe it was his way of getting revenge on him.

Sora was almost crying. She looked on, as Mimi wrapped her hand around Tai and ran her hand over his back. Why were they doing this? She couldn't stand to see them kiss anymore. She turned around, and attempted to run. Then she heard Jake's voice.

"Okay. Okay. Stop with the tonsil hockey. You can come in." he was laughing. Sora spun around again. She saw Tai and Mimi break off the kiss and walk into the club. "You guys might wanna check out the 3rd floor. Great make out area." he winked at Tai. Tai grinned mischievously, and nodded his head.

"Oh great. We sent Mimi and Tai to a make out spot! Can this night be any more horrible?" whispered Matt. Little did he know, the night was going to become even more horrible than he ever could ever imagine.

When Mimi and Tai got to the 3rd floor, Mimi stopped and smacked Tai on the cheek.

"Ow. What was that for?" asked Tai. (Outside) Matt smiled to himself. He heard the loud smack on the digivice. 'Serves you right.' His smile faded when he heard what she said.

"That was for kissing me!" she turned around. Then she looked directly at him. "Where on earth did you learn to kiss! It was amazing!"she cried.

"You're the amazing kisser, Mimi! My body was like jelly!" said Tai!

Mimi just smiled and nodded. She struck a pose. "Oh corse, what were you expecting?"

Tai opened his mouth to speak, but instead he grabbed Mimi, and pulled her into a passionate kiss. He pulled her body close to his. He turned her around and pushed her up against a wall. He started to kiss her neck, when he looked up he whispered, "There's a Digimon following us. Just play along!" Mimi nodded and kissed back. She wrapped one of her legs around Tai and jumped up onto him. Tai caught her and carried her into the 'make out' room.

He opened his eyes to look for a place to run to and hide. All he saw were couples ripping each others clothing off, and doing some major making out! 'Great. We have to look like a couple in THIS room.' thought Tai.

Mimi looked back to see if the Digimon was still following them. It was staring right at them. 'Damn!' "Tai." she whispered into his ear, "It's still looking at us. What do we do?" she pulled her head back, and kissed his neck.

"When in Rome..." was all Tai answered. (If you don't get it, it's when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Relating to my story. Rip off clothes and make out.)

"I love the Digiworld, I love the Digiworld, I love the Digiworld." Mimi kept reminding herself why she was doing this.

She quickly pulled off Tai's shirt. He responded by picking her up and lifting her to a more 'comfortable' spot. He lay her down on the floor, and got on top of her. Mimi then took of his second shirt. He slipped off one of the straps on her dress. She undid the belt on his pants. The Digimon kept watching.

"What the hell does he think this is? A late night special on the Playboy channel?" whispered Mimi. She bit Tai's upper lip.

"I wouldn't complain if I was you! At least you still have your clothes on!" said Tai. He passed his hands down Mimi's waist. He unzipped the back of her dress.

"Tai, I swear, if your hand gets any lower, it won't be there tomorrow!" threatened Mimi. She wiggled out from under Tai and got on top of him.

She yanked off his pants and, threw them to the floor. Tai slipped off her dress. The Digimon then scratched his head and walked away.

"Oh thank God! We were running out of clothes."

"Yeah, I would hate to think what would have happened, if he decided to stay and watch!" said Mimi! She quickly grabbed her dress. Tai looked around for his pants.

"Hey, Mimi. Where did you throw my pants?"

"Over there, I think." she said pointing to a wall.

At that moment the Digidestined decided to make their way up to the 3rd floor. As they got to their desired floor, they saw Tai and Mimi, walk out of a room half naked!

"What happened here?" shouted an angry Matt. He was about ready to clobber Tai.

"What the hell does it look like?" retorted Tai. He pulled on his pants and zipped them up. He reached down and grabbed on of his shirts.

"Tai, don't be snappy!" said Mimi. "Oh, could help me here?" she pointed to the back of her dress.

"Sure." said Tai. He dropped his other shirt and zipped her outfit.

"Thanks." she replied. They were acting as if the situation was completely natural. Like they didn't expect them to be surprised when the walked in on them almost completely naked!

"Uh hum!" swallowed Izzy. Tai and Mimi turned around. "Just what did happen here?"

"Well, we got to the 3rd floor. As we were about to open the portal, this Digimon appeared and started to follow us. We did everything we could to lose him, but he still persisted." started Mimi.

"We finally found this room to hide in, but it was like a bad porn movie." continued Tai. "We did the only thing that we could think of. Act like a couple that was looking for a place to get lucky!" Mimi giggled.

"He finally left, and thank God, we were down to our last pieces of clothing!" exclaimed Mimi. Matt didn't like what he was hearing.

"Why didn't you call us for help," he stated, "there's always an alternative. You didn't have to act like sex driven teenagers!"

"Gee, Matt, take it easy. Nothing happened." said Tai.

"That's not the point Tai!" voiced Sora. "Matt's right. You could have called for help. We would have been here, a lot sooner!"

"You're acting like parents! Quite lecturing us! We're 16 years old. We can handle ourselves!" said Tai. "Mimi and I are fine, nothing happened. Now we can open the gateway to the Digiworld! Drop it already!" He took Mimi's hand and turned toward the little 'key hole'. She took his hand and reached down to touch the panel.

Their hair started to fly up and their crests began to grow. A green light shot out of Mimi's crest, and an orange light from Tai's. The light hit the panel, and it started to glow. A bright light appeared in front of them. They heard a voice. It was deep and sort of scary.

"Listen to me Digidestined. Once you enter the Digiworld, nothing will be as it seems. Friendships will break, and love will die. Always remember that together you are strong. Apart you are weak." With that, the voice disappeared. A white light swallowed them and they were transported back to the Digiworld.

When Matt open his eyes, he winced in pain. He landed on the ground. His back and head really hurt. He touched the bump, which had developed on his head.

"Ow. That really hurts." he looked around for T.K. he was about 3 feet away from Matt. He reached out and touched his little brother. "T.K, are you okay?"

T.K opened his eyes. "Yeah. My leg hurts a little, but besides that, I feel great!" he laughed.

Matt managed to smile, and looked around to see if he could find the others. Gomamon was shaking Joe, Sora was dusting off her pants, and Izzy was looking for his laptop. He couldn't see Tai or Mimi. He searched the area frantically. 'Don't worry. They're around here somewhere!' Suddenly, he saw a piece of gold material shine in the sun. 'Mimi!' He ran over to where she was. He got a little closer, and stopped dead in his tracks. Tai and Mimi were together.

He had his arms wrapped protectively around her. Her head was resting on his chest. Tai began to move. Mimi opened her eyes when her pillow, started to lift.

"Hey. Morning." said Mimi. She just rested her face on Tai's chest again. She shut her eyes.

"Are we back?" asked Tai. He sat up. Mimi just lifted her head, waited for him to find a comfortable position, then placed it back down. Tai placed his chin on Mimi's head. "You know. Your hair smells like wild jasmine. That smell drives me wild!" he exclaimed.

Mimi looked at him. She pulled his face closer to hers. She opened her mouth and whispered "Remove all those thoughts from your mind Taichi Kamiya. It's not gonna happen. At least, not here." she said sneakily.

Matt couldn't take it anymore. "There you two are. We were getting worried." he said as coolly as possible. They looked up at him. Mimi slowly backed away from Tai. "The others are over there." he said pointing west. Mimi stood up, and started to walk in the direction he was pointing.

When she was out of sight, Matt grabbed Tai's arm. "What's going on Tai? I thought you were in love with Sora, not Mimi!" he said angrily.

Tai smirked. "You're jealous!" he proclaimed. "You're jealous of Mimi and me spending time together, aren't you?"

Matt just gazed at Tai. "Don't change the subject! Are you or aren't you going after Mimi?"

"This is great. Not only are you completely jealous, you're worried, I'm gonna get her in the end. Wow Matt. You really know how to make a guys day." Tai smirked. "It must have been killing you, listening to us kissing. Take it from me. She's an amazing kisser. She does this thing where she bits your upper lip. It makes my head spin! She's also great at frenching..."

"Shut up Tai!" said Matt. "Shut up, or I'll shut you up!"

Tai didn't listen. "She takes her tongue and practically shoves it down your throat. Then she circles your mouth with it. The best part's when, she tickles the top of your pallet. It makes you loose the feeling in your legs. And when you think you're about to collapse, she pulls away; making you beg for more."

Matt couldn't take it anymore. He lunged at Tai, and wrestled him to the ground. "I said shut up! Why are you doing this Tai?" he punched him on the face. "You knew I'm totally in love with Mimi," (punches) " and still you went after her." he punched him again "You're nothing but a..."

"But a what, Matt. Did I ever say I wasn't attracted to Mimi? God. Look at her Matt. She's a goddess. You think she's gonna be available forever?" replied Tai. He pushed Matt off him and walked back to the camp.

Matt thought about what Tai had said. He was right. It wasn't Tai's fault for hitting on her. It was his. He should have told Mimi about his feelings a long time ago.



*flashback*



"Guys, we have to keep digging! Mimi and Tai are in there somewhere!" Matt was frantically pulling at the fallen stones. Mimi and Tai had been caught in a cave in. They were buried under tons of rocks.

"Matt, calm down. It won't help anyone if you hurt yourself!" said Joe.

"I don't care about what happens to me. Mimi's trapped in there! She's running out of oxygen. She could die!" he yelled.

They removed the stones quickly, but carefully. After a while, they found them. Tai was protecting Mimi. His arm was over her head, and she was huddled close to him. The two were unconscious. Matt picked up Mimi, and Joe and Izzy grabbed Tai. They rushed them to a hospital as fast as they could. Once they reached the hospital, the nurse at the front desk, immediately grabbed two stretchers. They were hooked up the machines in the blink of an eye.

"What happened here? Those two are barely alive!" said the doctor.

"We were on a scavenger hunt." explained Sora. "One of the items was a piece of mountain rock. Since they were partners, they went up on the mountain to get the item. Then the ground caved in."

"Don't worry. They'll be okay after a good night's sleep, and a little hospital treatment." The doctor smiled and walked away. Tai and Mimi's parents came rushing through the door.

"Where is Tai? Will he be okay? What happened? ..." Tai's mom was hysterical. She was crying and speaking at the same time. Joe told her the story. "Oh my God... will my baby be okay?"

"He'll be fine." assured Izzy. "Where did Mimi's parents go to?" he looked around. He saw them with Matt, looking at Mimi. She was on a respirator, and was really pale. Tai wasn't any better. He was also on a respirator, and had a tube that went into is mouth. It was somehow checking for internal injuries. His face was scratched and bruised.



*end of flashback*



After that, they seemed connected. They did almost everything together. This made Matt a little jealous, but he thought nothing of it. After all, it was Tai and Mimi. Now everything made sense. He walked back, letting his anger and jealous consume him slowly. 'I have to tell Mimi tonight. If I don't, I'll end up regretting it for the rest of my life. There's no way I'm letting Tai have her.'

He saw Sora talking to Tai. She turned and looked at Matt. She waved. So did Tai. "Hey Matt. What's up?" asked Tai cheerfully. He acted like nothing had happened.

"Don't touch me." replied Matt.

"What's eating him?" asked Tai. I was being friendly.

It was now night. Matt decided that now was a good time to tell Mimi, about his feelings. "Hey Izzy, do you know where Mimi is?"

"Yeah. She said she was going to the lake to do something. I forgot."

"No problem. Thanks!" with that he ran off toward the lake. On his way to Mimi, he met Sora. She was standing very still. He went up to her. "Sora, what's up?"

She just pointed. He looked at what she was pointing at. There was the lake. 'I didn't know I was so close' he thought. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw Mimi. She was swimming. A head bobbed up from underneath the water. A mop of wild brown hair appeared.

"Tai." he scowled. He clenched his teeth.

"I'm so glad I remembered my bathing suit this time." said Mimi.

"Me too." said Tai.

Mimi giggled. "Gee Tai. Your hair is almost as long as mine!" she started to laugh.

"Is not!"

"Is too!" she said splashing him.

"Is not!" he said splashing her. In a little while, they were having a splashing war. Tai grabbed Mimi's hands, but she wiggled out of his hold. She dove under water. He chased after her.

"Got ya!" he cried out.

"Okay, I surrender!"screamed Mimi. She was laughing so hard.

"Oh corse! Everyone surrenders to me."

"Really?" said Mimi. "Isn't that a little lame?"

"Maybe, but I got the girl didn't I?" Mimi stared at Tai. Tai stared at Mimi. At that moment, they lost control of their bodies. They started to kiss uncontrollably. Mimi wrapped her arms around Tai's neck. He placed his hands, on her face. Sora and Matt just stared. They wanted to run, but they couldn't. It was like their legs were glued in place. Sora felt tears roll down her cheeks. She wanted to shut her eyes, but they were fixed on Mimi, her best friend in the whole universe, making out with the only boy she loved in the universe. Matt tried to look away, but his gaze was also stuck on Tai and Mimi. 'Tai got her. He won...' Tai pulled Mimi out of the water on placed her on the ground. He undid the tie, that held her bathing suit in place. She made no attempt to stop him. He couldn't stand it. With all his might, he forced his legs to move. He grabbed Sora's arm and pulled her with him. They were in such a rush to get out of there; they didn't realize their crest's went black. As soon as they left, Mimi and Tai blacked out.

When they came too, Mimi and Tai were walking. They were fully clothed and dry. "That's funny Tai. I don't remember getting dressed."

"Me too. We must really be tired!"

Sora collapsed. She couldn't run anymore. She just started to cry. Matt stopped.

"Sora, don't cry."

"How can I not cry? I just saw Tai, you know the guy I love, kissing my best friend!"

"How do you think I feel? I love Mimi. I just saw her kissing my formerly best friend too!"

"How could she do that to me? She knew I loved him, but she still went after Tai!" she cried even more.

"I guess it wasn't meant to be." she looked at him. "Maybe this is fates way of telling us, we weren't supposed to be together." he looked up at the sky. He felt as if his heart had been ripped out, and trampled on. "Maybe this is supposed to bring us together." he knew this wasn't true, but at the moment, it seemed like the right thing to say.

While Mimi and Tai were walking, they heard voices. "It's Matt and Sora." said Mimi. "I wonder what their doing up this late."

They walked up to where Matt and Sora was sitting. Tai and Mimi saw Matt lean in and kiss Sora. Mimi's eyes swelled with tears.

"Sora...how could you..." Sora and Matt's heads jerked up. "How could you..." She ran off.

Matt jumped up. He felt like he owed her an explanation. "Mimi wait..." he started.

"Don't!" Tai barked. "Don't even try. If I catch you attempting to talk to her, or you go within 10 feet of her, I swear, I beat you to a bloody pulp!" he said. "I can't believe you'd sink so low, as kissing Sora, when you knew I liked her." he turned and looked at Sora with disgust. "And you. People like you sicken me. How could you kiss him, knowing that your best friend was in love with him."

"We could as you the same question! How the hell could you make out with Mimi, knowing I loved her?" yelled Matt.

"I made out with Mimi, so we could get back to this place! It's not the same thing!" shouted Tai in defence.

"You lying son of a bitch! You two were going at it like rabbits a few minutes ago!"

"Now who lying? I never kissed Mimi!"

"Don't you deny it! We saw you with our own eyes!" said Sora.

"Well then I guess you have to get your eyes checked! Mimi wait!" finished Tai. He ran after her.

"I can't believe that bastard was denying it! We saw him!" shouted Matt. Knowing Tai would go through with his threat; he and Sora walked back to the others.



"Mimi, wait up." Tai was running after Mimi. He finally caught up to her. She ran surprisingly fast, for a girl in 6 inch heels. He grabbed her hand and pulled her close. She cried on his shirt. Her whole body went limp. The only way Tai could support her, was too lower her to the ground.

"Why? Why are they doing this Tai?" she whimpered.

"I don't know Mimi. I don't know." he kissed the top of her head, and just let her cry.

When Tai woke up, he had a sharp pain in his neck. His head had been resting in a very uncomfortable position all night. It smelled like he had been sleeping on a field of lavender. 'I hate the smell of lavender.' he thought as he got up. Mimi was still resting, so he let her sleep. 'What a night she had!' Tai watched her sleep. So peaceful. 'She looks so beautiful!' he wanted to reach out and touch her cheek. 'I can't do that to her.' he thought. 'Not after what happened last night. She lost her best friend and the man she loved. Hell, so did I.' he kept his gaze fixed on her. She finally shifted and her eyes opened.

"Please tell me last night was a nightmare." she said.

Tai shook his head. "No. It wasn't a dream."

Mimi looked as if she was in pain. "Damn them. Damn them both." she started to cry again.

"Don't cry Mimi. He didn't deserve you. You're too amazing, for a loser like him."

"I hate them."she said. "I hate them both." her voice was like ice. It made Tai shiver.

"You don't mean that. You couldn't mean that." said Tai.

"For once, I actually mean what I say. I hate her for what she did to me, and I hate him for what he did to you."

"No Mimi. You care about everyone, no matter what they do to you. I know you. We've been friends way to long." he stated.

"I don't care about anything now." she clarified.

"Not even about me?" asked a hurt Tai.

"Only you." she said before bursting into tears. He stroked her hair.

"Don't cry. It'll be okay. I'm here." said a reassuring Tai. He picked her up, and guided her back to the camp.



"Hey, where's Tai and Mimi?" asked T.K. "They were here last night!"

"Probably making out somewhere." said Sora under her breath. Only Matt caught it.

"We're here T.K!" called out Tai. His arm was around Mimi's waist. She had stopped crying, but here eyes were blood shot.

"What happened to you two?" asked Joe.

"It's a long story." said Tai, throwing an evil glance at Matt. He shook his head. He sat Mimi down. She stared blankly at the ground. He walked over to Matt. "Remember what I said. If you try to talk to her, T.K will be an only child." he whispered.

"You don't tell me what to do! If I want to talk to Mimi, I'll talk to Mimi." he whispered back.

"What makes you think she wants to talk to you? She hates your guts!" retorted Tai.

"You know, why am I defending myself? You two started it!"

"Don't go giving me the - we were making out in the lake story, because we all know it's a load of bull. That's only your lame cover up story." With that, Tai walked away. He sat near Mimi. She looked up, and smiled at him. Matt noticed her crest was a deep shade of grey. With that he looked at his own crest. It was black.

"Oh man! Guys look at this!" he pulled off his crest and handed it to Izzy. "Look at Mimi's. It's grey." he looked at everyone else's crests. Izzy fine. Joe fine. T.K fine. Tai fine. Sora black. "Sora's is also black!"

Sora looked at her crest. She took it off, and examined it closer. The little symbol was completely hidden, by the black background. "What does this mean?" she asked.

Izzy was busy looking at the crest's. "Hey Mimi, toss me yours." she took off her crest and threw it to Izzy. "How bizarre!" he stated. "Matt and Sora's are black, while Mimi's is grey. Maybe Gennai could clarify the situation." he opened his laptop, and pushed in a couple of keys. The screen lit up as Gennai appeared.

"Well hello there! I'm so glad you could make it."

"Listen Gennai. Something really weird is happening here. Matt and Sora's crests have gone completely black, while Mimi's is grey. What's going on?"

"It's rather simple if you think about it. Matt probably lost a friend. Since he has the crest of friendship, it would turn black. As for Mimi's she probably doesn't care anymore, but she still cares about something. That's why her crest is grey."

"Is there anyway we, can fix them?" asked T.K.

"Yes. They, and only they, have to solve what bothering them. Once they face their problem, their crests will return to normal. Now. Onto the busyness, of the new evil here. They call themselves the Dark Masters. Piedmon and Puppetmon. Izzy, I have downloaded their profiles into your Digimon analyser. I would suggest that you fix the problem of the crests first. Goodbye." with that he disappeared.

"Okay. So does anyone want to tell us what's happening?" asked Joe.

"No!" they all replied. Mimi spoke. "Tai's the one that's keeping my crest from turning black."

Everyone turned and looked at her. "Remember when we were talking earlier. I said I cared only about you." Tai nodded his head.

"I remember. How could I forget?" he said. He hugged her.

"Okay. We have one of the crests figured out. I think. It's really confusing when we don't know what's going on." said Izzy.

"We have to deal with it." said Matt. "Gennai said we have to fix the situation."

"How about we split up? You guys fix the crests and we'll try to find out how to defeat the Dark Masters. We'll meet up at sunset. Deal?" said T.K.

"Sunset it is." said Tai. He helped Mimi to her feet and they walked away. Matt and Sora followed.

A little while later, they found a good place to talk. Tai and Mimi stood on one side, and Sora and Matt on the other.

"Who should go first?" asked Sora. They all stood in silence. Then they all started yelling.

"Mimi and I didn't make out at the lake!"

"Stop lying Tai. Matt and I saw you two..."

"I knew there was something going on between you two. You told me you liked Sora! I thought you were my friend..."

Mimi couldn't take it anymore. "SHUT THE HELL UP!" she yelled. "WE HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU TWO ARE TALKING ABOUT! STOP..." she was cut off because she started to float. "AH!" she screamed.

"Mimi!" cried out Tai and Matt.



"Hey look at this!" said Izzy. "The Dark Masters are some very tough Digimon. Piedmon can change his form to anything he pleases, and Puppetmon can control anything with his strings! We'd better be careful. These aren't your ordinary Digimon." said Izzy.



"What's happening to me?" cried Mimi. She was suspended in the air.

"Pathetic Digidestined! We were expecting brave warriors, not weak teenagers." said a mysterious voice. Suddenly, Mimi dropped. Matt ran over and caught her, before she hit the ground.

"Who are you?" demanded Sora.

"We are the Dark Masters. I am Piedmon. This is Puppetmon." the 2 Digimon appeared. The Digidestined looked on in horror. Piedmon floated to the ground. "You truly are pathetic. You let your emotion control you."

"What do you mean?" asked Mimi. Piedmon walked up to her. With every step, he began to change. First his clothes, then hair, body, and finally, his face. "Tai..." she started.

"Yeah. It's me Mimi. He reached up to touch her face. Matt stepped in front of him.

"Don't touch her." he threatened.

"Well really Matt, why don't you hit me like last time." he smiled. Matt's face went white.

"It was you... not Tai."

"Very good! Give the boy a gold star!" he laughed.

"Don't forget about me." said Puppetmon. "I was surprised at how long it took me to dominate your bodies. Remember the lake." he said smiling at Sora. "I also took control of your bodies. That's why you couldn't move."

"You sick twisted..." she began.

"Ah, ah, ah. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." replied a smug Puppetmon.

"You were the ones that made us turn on our friends." said Tai.

"Yes. Now if you don't mind, we'd like your crests. Oh, and... you." he said pointing at Mimi. "We could use a girl like you." (Part of my next story!)

"You'll have to get through me first!" exclaimed Matt.

"I was really hoping that it wouldn't resort to violence, but if you insist." said Piedmon. This huge ball of energy formed in his hands. He aimed right fir Matt.

"No!" screamed Mimi. She pushed him out of the way. He hit the ground with a thud. She screamed when the energy hit her in the stomach.

Mimi fell backwards. Her hair was flying everywhere. She hit the ground. Her arms sprung up, as she hit the earth. She lay motionless.

"Mimi!" screamed Matt. He jumped up and ran to her side. He grabbed her hand. "Mimi, wake up. Please wake up." he eyes were swelling with tears. "Wake up..." he sobbed. On of his tears hit her crest. The grey disappeared. It glowed green again.

"Damn. Oh well. One down. Six to go. Until next time Digidestined." with that, they disappeared.

Matt was looking at Mimi. She was turning blue. "She's dying! We gotta get her some help!" called out Matt. Horrible memories of the cave in, flooded back to him. He almost lost Mimi that day. He couldn't go through it again. "Tai, Sora, we have to do something." with that his crest turned blue.

"What can we do Matt? We don't have any doctors around here. We don't have any medicine. We have nothing!" said Sora.

"This is all my fault." he said. "If I hadn't been so jealous, Mimi would be okay." he paused and wiped away tears. "Why did she push me out of the way?"

"Because she loved you." said Tai. "She was crushed when she saw you too kissing."

"How do you think we felt? We thought you two were dating. Hell, maybe even sleeping together! We had no clue Puppetmon was controlling you. It looked so real!" said Matt.

"I could never date or sleep with Mimi. She's like my sister" said Tai. "I care about her way too much to do anything like that to her." he managed a laugh, but it sounded like a chock.

"I swear I'll get them for this." vowed Matt. "I'll get them and make them pay. Nobody kills the girl I love and gets away with it." he fell on Mimi, and started to cry. Sora's crest started to glow. A pink orb of light, came out of the crest and surrounded Mimi. Then, an orb of blue light appeared from Matt, and an orange one from Tai. They all combined and floated down on Mimi. A warm aura appeared around her. She open her eyes.

"What happened? I'm so cold." she begun to shiver. Matt picked her up, and held her close.

"Quick, get some blankets. She's like ice." he pulled her closer. Sora and Tai ran off to get some blankets. "Don't worry Mimi. I won't let anything happen to you." he whispered in her ear.

"Matt... what are you doing?"

"Keeping you warm."

"I mean why... don't you hate me..."

Matt was shocked. It hurt him knowing she thought he hated her. "Mimi, I could never hate you. I love you."

"You love me..."

He smiled "Yeah. I love you." With that he bent down and kissed her. She kissed back. She took her arms and wrapped them around his neck. Once the kiss brock off, Matt looked at Mimi. "Wow. That was... that was, beyond words."

"I know what you mean. She kissed him again. This time she bit his upper lip. He melted.

'Even though he was an evil Digimon, he sure did tell the truth!' thought Matt. Mimi, pulled away. He grabbed her face, and kissed it passionately. He didn't want them to stop. He wanted to stay like this forever. Just then a familiar voice entered his mind. 'Friendships will break, and love will die.' Now he understood what was going on. They were put to a test. A test to see if they were strong enough to last without the ones they cared about. Matt thought he failed big time, but he didn't care. In the end, he got what he wanted. Mimi.
