‘Our Mayday’ 

The tradition of mayday has always been about the celebration of life, a way of people coming together all over the world, taking over public spaces, a day of defiance against authority. Mayday is a chance for us to connect our struggles with the struggles of others globally, a day when we can collectively voice our opposition to exploitation, the repression of our desires and dreams, to create a new world, a stateless world, a world without capitalism...

‘Our Kitchen’ 

This is a monthly gathering for people who want to change the world. It is an opportunity to network with individuals & groups involved in anarchism, environmentalism, peace activism & a whole host of other non-hierarchal stuff. It takes place the first Wednesday of every month at 8pm in the Resource Space downstairs in Giros & is followed by enter/infotainment with great veggie food in the cafe upstairs. Your welcome to come along & get involved...

‘Our Info/Resource Space’ 

Mayday sees the ‘official’ opening of a new space @ Giros. So far this space incorporates the Just Books Radical Book Distro, direct action against apathy zine and photo archive, reference books, videos on local/global activism, a resource space with materials for creating all the props we need for the revolution, free shop (stuff for free!), cineclub with world and political cinema & most importantly a place where we can meet to dream & scheme. The place is evolving, feel free to come along & get involved...
