All girl band Mustang Sally will be included in the musical lineup at the Third Annual Bainbridge Bikefest 2000 on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8:30 p.m., to share the stage that night with Buddy Johnson & His Bunch, and Confederate Railroad.

The six-member group's style is described as a mix of wide reaching musical influences ranging from George Jones to Jimi Hendrix, offering "edgy" country music with a contemporary feel and traditional roots. That Mustang Sally is all female (and attractive) is only due to accident, claims drummer Lisa Romeo, who got her start at the Hall of Fame Lounge in Nashville.

"Our intentions were never to be an 'all girl' band, it just sort of came together that way," said Romeo. "We were looking for some really great players and we found them. They just happened to be all women."

In addition to Romeo, the band is made up of lead guitarist Lisa Pursell, a former Guitar Institute of Technology instructor from Decatur, Ga.; Karri Lee of Los Alamos,N.M. who plays keyboards and fiddle, lead vocalist Jenny Farrell of Nashville, bassist Debbie Johnson of Springfield, Mo. an Rena'e True'x of Moundsville, W.V., who plays saxophone, flute, and dobro.

The band performed almost 200 dates in 1999 at venues ranging from the Southwest to the Northeast including Whiskey River in Macon and Harrah's Casino in Las Vegas.

"With a live show that sizzles, lots of attitude and polish, Mustang Sally has it all," according to the bands press release. "Already creating a buzz around Music Row with industry executives, fellow musicians and fans alike, Mustang Sally is truly breaking the rules."
