Goals and Purpose of the Divemaster Course through BWD:

As the entry to plays a pivotal role the Divemaster ranks assist you and other divers. They supervise diving
activities for certified divers, snorkeler divers. Obviously, these entry-level professionals can strongly influence
the safety and fun divers enjoy during training and diving. At the same time, many Divemaster are looking
ahead, gaining professional experience they will apply as Assistant Instructors and Open Water Scuba
Instructors. The training and experience you gain through our Divemaster program helps shape your abilities
and attitude toward becoming a professional level diving educator.

Divemaster authorization:

1. Independently guide Open Water Diver/Scuba Diver students on the tour portion of Open Water Diver

course training dives 2 through 4, at a ratio of two student divers per certified Divemaster.

2. Accompany Open Water Diver/Scuba Diver students under the indirect supervision of a Instructor:

a. during surface swims to and from the entry/exit point
b. during the navigational exercises during dive 4.
c. with the group, either on the surface or underwater, while the instructor con-ducts a skill, such as
an ascent, with an individual student diver or buddy team.

3. Conduct any subsequent dives for Discover Scuba Diving participants, at a ratio of 2:1, if insured,

after the participants have satisfactorily completed the first dive under the supervision of a Instructor.

4. Conduct the Discover Local Diving experience.

5. Conduct the Discover Snorkeling program.

6. Conduct the Scuba Review program for certified Open Water Divers or divers with higher

certifications (provided the Divemaster meets insurance requirements).

7. Accompany student divers during training dives for the Advanced Open Water program,

Specialty Diver courses, or the Rescue Diver course.

8. Generally supervise both training and nontraining-related activities by assisting divers and student

divers in the planning, organizing and direction of dives.

9. Assist a Instructor in the open water training of divers.

10.Assist Instructor in the confined water training of divers.

11.Teach and certify Skin Divers independently.

Arrangement:

Include: Ten day Divemaster course, Academic training (Classroom), Practical Skills (Pool and Open Water), Transfer, Instructor plus Assistant Instructor.
Hotel-, Transferexpenses from/to Airport, Registration fee, and Equipment as well as Course material are not include.

Prerequisites:

To qualify for Divemaster training, you'll need to:

1. Be certified as a Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).

2. Be certified as a Rescue Diver (or equivalent).

3. Have logged a minimum of 20 open water dives prior to entry into Divemaster training, and completed
and logged a minimum of 60 open water dives with experience in night, deep and navigation prior to
certification as a Dive Master.

4. Be at least 18 years old.

5. Be in good physical condition for diving and submit a medical exam form signed by a physician

Candidate Equipment:
During open water scuba training, each divemaster candidate must be equipped with the proper equipment for the diving environment. This includes, but is not limited to: fins, mask, snorkel, cylinder, regulator, alternate air source, buoyancy control device (BCD) with low pressure inflator, backpack (if not integrated into the BCD), weight system, appropriate exposure suit for the environment, timing device and depth gauge (or dive computer), compass, knife/dive tool (unless prohibited by local laws or regulations) and an emergency signalling device (whistle, flare, inflatable signal tube).

Location:

The Course held in Hurghada - Red Sea - Egypt from the Instructors of BWD in the Sabina Diving Center. Also we provide accomodation. The cost for 3* Hotel from 10US$ for BB in double room. The Course fee is payable before Course starts (non-refund deposit 40US$). The Fee for registration and Course material is not include. The price of 399US$ is a special offer for the 25th diver anniversary of the founder of BWD.
