Darby is my first whippet. I previously owned a greyhound, Mr. Rambo, CD, CGC, a retired racer. I also have been a foster home to a number of retired racers while involved with local rescue groups.
Darby and I have learned many things together and she was my first start in whippet racing, lure coursing and flyball. She excells at everything she does. She gets her flyball finesse from her dam Risky, and her racing skills from her sire, Natron. Darby is a WRA meet winner, and she is one of the fastest dogs in flyball, with an unofficial fastest heat time of 3.52 seconds. Darby got her first obedience title on 5/29/06, getting her CD in one weekend, in 3 straight trials!
Darby whelped a litter of puppies on 1/15/07. The sire of the litter was Poet. There were eight puppies in the litter, 6 males, 2 females, with 7 blacks and 1 brindle.
Darby is retired from racing now after injuring both of her gracilis muscles (although she may run a race here and there) but she is still continuing to compete in flyball.
