About Me
Pets - Dixie Dog, my blue heeler, who is the best dog EVER!  I also have a great Quarter Horse named Seven.  Recently, a poor, timid mutt dog wandered into the back yard and she's really turned out to be a sweetie.  She's not the cutest dog ever, so the name Ugly Betty fits her well.  But like the girl on the show, she's got a great heart & personality!

Favorite Music - There is NO way I can pick just one or two favorites, so bear with me as I go through this rediculously long list:
Juice Newton
Dolly Parton
Sara Evans
Rhonda Vincent
Dixie Chicks (yeah, the Chicks will always rock).

And I have a comment to make about the Dixie Chicks (because, hey, it is my website after all)!  For those of you who are still anti-Dixie Chicks, think back to Kanye West's infamous comment at the Katrina Relief benefit (you know, the "President Bush hates black people" comment).  If someone can, on AMERICAN television make such a racist comment and his album sales go through the roof, but the top selling female country group can't make a comment, apologize for where it was said, can't escape death threats, we need to seriously rethink our morals.

Anyway, off that soapbox!

Hobbies -
Camping
- but not hard core, sleeping in a tent camping.  Normally we're shacked up in a horse trailer, because I always go camping & trail riding, so Seven (and Dixie) go with me.
Reading - I think my favorite author is Janet Evanovich.  I've read about all of the Stephanie Plum novels, but I'm buying them all again & reading them slower!
Cake Decorating - Yeah, how "Betty Crocker" am I???  I took a class this year & really enjoyed it.

Travels - Places I've been (worth noting)
While I'm not a "world" traveller, I have been a few places in the states that were pretty cool.
California - I went to Disneyland with the people I baby-sit for in January, 2006 & it was a BLAST!
Texas - I've actually been to Texas 3 times for Barrel Racing Clinics at the famous Josey Ranch.  I saw the first (and only) wild bear I'd ever seen near the ranch.  I didn't know they had bears in Texas!
Colorado - This is where I want to live some day!  I went to Denver on a business trip in September of 2005.  I got a late flight out the last day I was there & drove up through Boulder to the Rocky Mountian National Park.  I did a quick trail ride at the Estes Park YMCA along with some shopping.  That was a great little town!  I took the scenic route back to the airport & came back through the Loveland area.  It was all so beautiful, I really could have stayed there.  I definitely want to go back!

TV Shows I Can't Miss -
Grey's Anatomy
Ghost Hunters (like I'm real brave...)
Wildfire (whenever ABC Family decides to put it back on)
