FACTORS
A factor is one of two or more numbers that are multiplied to give a product. The numbers that are being multiplied are called factors of the product.
Example: 4 and 3 are factors of 12, because 4 x 3 = 12
Example: What are ALL the factors of 24?
Think it through: Ask yourself, "What numbers can be multiplied together to give you a product of 24?"
1 x 24
2 x 12
3 x 8
4 x 6
So, the factors of 24 are 1,2,3,4,6,8,12,24.
