living at gunpoint
a caring father loved his son
but the boy crossed the line
and daddy pulled the gun
he went into his room and broke all his toys
he took a moment
to laugh at the pathetic boy
daddy took away his fun; his life
but daddy's favorite boy
found daddy's favorite knife
one night the boy woke his father
and screamed at him in bed
now daddy's crossed the line
and this is what junior said:

"living with you is just like
living at gunpoint, and i
never know when you'll pull the trigger"
the little boy dropped the knife
he spared daddy's life
he walked away saying "now look who's bigger"

twenty years later the boy's struck gold
rich and famous when he's
thirty-one years old
but daddy's starving out on the streets
junior drops by
and buys him something to eat
offers him a room in his new house
daddy greedily accepts
but without
asking if the boy forgives him
so the boy brings it up
and tells him

"living with you was just like
living at gunpoint, and i've
never forgotten what you've done
now I've got two boys of my own
you're an old man and i've also grown
but i'll never forget that i'm your son
and i'll always love the man behind the gun"
