Russell Whitesell was a very special person. He worked tirelessly for humanity's evolution. His work was planetary. He was involved with the Sadat/Began Peace Treaty. He had connections with the wives of the principal players in that event. He knew that the feminine principle was needed in that "ancient feud" between the Jews and Arabs. The Hierarchy also had a sense of humor. Sadat came to meet Began on Christmas Day. What irony! There was also a member of the Hierarchy present at that meeting.

Let us hope there was a member of the Hierarchy in Washington D.C. for the signing of the Jewish/Palestinian Peace Accord. We can draw some conclusions from the astrological chart of the event. The accord was signed at 11:47 a.m. EDT on 13 Sept. 1993. In the chart we find that the Sun is 20 Virgo 54, the Moon at 16 Libra 41 and the Ascendent is at 1 Sag. 53. The Sun is in the foreground of the chart which means the event will be singled out and will shine. It is obvious that this event could be very important for world peace. The Sun being in Virgo emphasizes service. Those who have helped to bring this accord about have done the world a great service. The Moon is in the background of the chart which may mean that many people will not be behind this agreement; however, it also indicates that the emotions are in the background. We all know that the deep emotions of hatred had to be subdued.

Mars conj. Jupiter in the 11th house - Successful creative activity, agreements, settlements in the area of hopes and wishes. The world does hope that this agreement is successful since it is only the beginning. It will take a great deal of salesmanship to sell the militants on both sides to accept the peace. Jupiter/Mars square Neptune/Uranus indicates good fortune, new courage, instability and sadness. It would be good fortune if it holds. It took courage to sign the agreement. It will produce instability with the "old warriors" in each group. It will also elicit sadness in the families on both sides as they have to find forgiveness where revenge had been the order of the day.

Venus/Moon opp. Saturn square Pluto (T square) - Suffering through love, make sacrifices for the people, temporary state of chaos, self-control, inherited positions, organic suffering with strong feelings. There will be suffering and sacrifices connected with the accord. Self control is needed to deal with the age old inherited positions. This conflict is steeped in deep karmic suffering and emotions. This T-square will be difficult to deal with, but it does have an opening in the 6th house of service. When the difficulties arise (every seven days at a minimum with the Moon hitting the points of the square) SERVICE must be the order of the day. Those involved must decide to serve others at those times of crisis. If the don't, the peace accord will fail. The opening also falls in the sign of Taurus which means that security and money must be provided for this accord to work. Who will provide the security and who will provide the money? Time will tell. Venus conj. Moon finds the two feminine orbs at work in the chart.

The Sabian Symbol for this chart's Sun is "A girl's basketball team." Here we find group integration. Girls are more receptive. The feminine principle again manifests. Did anyone notice that Mrs. Anwar Sadat was in the audience on the White House lawn? Perhaps the planet would benefit if we had even more female leaders! Right on ladies, the men have been fighting long enough.

The SS for the Ascendant or the esoteric point of the chart is "White capped waves display the power of wind over sea." Could the wind be mental and sea be emotional? Surely the mental aspects won out over the emotional in these negotiations. Here again, the emotions were put in the background allowing the mental to prevail.
