Greetings from Russell's Remnant:
Russell Whitesell once stated that you must test all things. Don't believe something just because a Teacher tells you something. Russell stated that if the Christ appeared to him and told him that something was true, he would thank the Christ for the information, but would tell him the he would have to test the matter and make it his own experience before accepting it as true. The third degree initiate, Paul, even said, " Prove all things..." 1 Thes. 5:21.
Niels Bohr won the Nobel Prize for physics in 1922 because he refused to accept what his professors taught him about the atom. He set about to test what he really knew about the atom. His investigation discovered the rings around the atom. Look at all things with a child's mind. Ask questions of the authorities. One disciple challenged the teachings of the Catholic Church at age seven, the Baptist Church at age nine and his father's racism at age 18. He was later asked to leave the Presbyterian Church because he challenged the church's beliefs during his Saturn Return at age 29. He then challenged the metaphysical world of the Tarot, the pendulum, the I Ching, hypnosis, psychism, mediums, crystals, etc. He estranged himself from the metaphysical world, but found an esoteric home with D.K.'s books and Russell Whitesell who defended the correctness of the disciple's beliefs.
There was a wise elderly lady disciple in the TNG who advised one of the younger arrogant students who had accepted as truth some information about the return of the Christ which turned out not to be true. She suggested that he might follow the Buddhist path of doubt rather than the Christian path of belief. Listen and learn from the authorities, but challenge their work. One disciple read a book on knots and challenged an authority's book on kite knots. The authority was incorrect. Another disciple found errors in several renown astrology books, ephemerides and computer programs. And recently another student challenged the teachings of a homeopathic journal and won. Authorities in great numbers can be wrong. Challenge them all and accept only what you can prove in your own consciousness from experience.
"All truly wise thoughts have been thought already thousands of times; but to make them truly ours, we must think them over again honestly, until they take root in our personal experience." - Goethe. Just a note, Goethe was da Vinci in an earlier incarnation. Russell had some connections with Leonardo in regard to the aeroplane. Russell was one of the world's best test pilots in this life. His intuition guided him in regard to danger and weather. Russell's intuition guided him to climb into his plane and fly out over the Pacific ocean to guide a lost pilot back to safety. If he had not done this, the world would have lost one of the Masters of the Hierarchy. Masters can still make mistakes. Being a Master does not mean you have mastered everything on the planet. Even the great Avatar, the Buddha, made a mistake in choosing the path to follow. He chose to follow the Earth Path incorrectly. Even the first planetary deity, Maldek (?), made a mistake in believing that man could find his way back to God without a guide. Earth blew up. The second planetary deity, Sanat Kumara, did not make the same mistake. He brought with him stragglers from Venus to guide our growth. They are our souls.
We all make mistakes. Please do not make the same mistake twice. After one initiate made a mistake, she said she was sorry. Russell responded, "Sorry don't help!" Do not tell the Teacher that you are sorry. Just do not make that mistake again."
TNG Quiz: Question #1 - T or F The United Nations is still the hope of the world, but is suffering today from an initial error of admitting a totalitarian power into its nations.
*** Quiz Answer #1: True (The U.N. made major mistakes in admitting Russia and Germany. It also allowed partition for the Jews pushed by the U.S.)
Maybe NATO should be very careful about allowing Russia membership. Russia may need to prove she has changed her spots.
