Greetings from Russell's Remnant: (Russell Whitesell recommended The Rainbow Bridge books for his students.)
The Rainbow Bridge II by Two Disciples - Norman and Josephine Stevens. D.K. said that the mysteries are revealed and initiate powers gained by changes in the vehicles and not by the accumulation of information anent the mysteries; and that liberation of the Soul comes about when the matter of the vehicles is salvaged, and not by the attaining of spiritual status. These changes must be made before the Third Initiation.
Soul Mantram: I AM THE SOUL - This activates the soul. I AM THE LIGHT DIVINE - The Central Channel flashes forth and intensifies. It becomes full of rainbow fire. I AM LOVE - A rose-pink downpour of energy from the heart of the Soul Star floods the Central Channel. I AM WILL - A royal purple, brilliant clear red, a white, or an indigo blue downpour enters and fills the Central Channel. I AM FIXED DESIGN - The sensitive points along the Central Channel flash forth with intense radiation; these later are the points occupied by the chakras.
No work should be undertaken until this mantram has been said. Speak it aloud with a pause at the end of each line. This Soul Mantram is a most powerful, versatile and useful instrument of White Magic. This ancient Soul Mantram is the absolute beginning of all occult techniques. Without the use of this mantram, or some form of it, yoga practices, meditations, chantings, postures, breathings, and the like, are ineffective in making changes in the inner vehicles. We have witnessed years of such practices which made no change in the inner vehicles of the aspirant.
The soul does the work. The soul is the true incarnator. Its manifestation on the lower level is limited to what we call the Soul Star through which we receive a minute part of Soul Consciousness. We repeat - without this affirmation no technique of mind, emotional nature or physical action has any subjective result; such practices only demonstrate persistence and strengthen aspiration. The outer forms of techniques we give are without result if not proceeded by this Soul Mantram. As soon as we invoked the Soul, we got definite results in the "purification" of the fields. The Soul was invoked, responded and moved everyone ahead very rapidly which led us to the conclusion the Soul does the work. We speeded up the changes in the atomic and etheric structure of our vehicles by using the exercises in the book.
Clear out thoughtforms, distortions, habit patterns, the complexes, engrams or thoughtforms, or as D.K. called them: obstacles, hinderances and distractions. Roughly the discarded thoughtforms fall into five types which are located in five different zones of the body: 1. Those above the head and down as far as the neck which are in the nature of false or outgrown ideas or ideals thus called "idealized" thoughtforms. 2. Those about the neck and upper back, shoulders and chest which seem to pertain largely to negative ideas and feelings about personal value or worth. These are called the "worthless" patterns of self-evaluation complexes and involve the emotional nature. 3. Those around the mid-section of the body are composed of more destructive feelings like hate, fear, anger and extremes of selfishness, patterns of helpfulness, possessive love and self-created martydom. These are called the "emotional" images. 4. Those gathered in the lower torso area and about the hips and lower back are related to the instincts which are all rooted in fear: self-preservaton, herding, sex, self-assertion, sense of possession, belief one is separate, animal curiosity. These are the instinctual images of the etheric-physical vehicles. 5. The patterns clustered around the feet represent conditions in life that a person would like to run away from but cannot.
The ancient impurities cause the disciple to hold to outworn and outgrown ideals; be deceived as to sources of inspiration; accept false teaching as true; misinterpret codes, customs and conventions; make the techniques of Yoga and magic unsuccessful and dangerous; and prevent successful work with the glamors. Since the thoughtforms represent karma to be worked out, the elimination of these forms from the field of the disciple can save lifetimes of incarnated effort. The processes of elimination described in this book justify our statement that karma can be changed or neutralized.
By using the energy of the Soul, the thoughtforms can be eliminated, karma offset and the disciple freed to be of greater service and usefulness. Accumulation of knowledge about occult subjects has not lessened the accumulation of hindrances to spiritual progress. The attempts at techniques of yoga, prayer, affirmation, invocation, use of the sacred word, etc., are relatively useless by comparison to those same techniques practiced by disciples free of observable hindrances and obstacles.
