Dr. Russell Whitesell made an interesting statement, "Christianity would work if somebody tried it, but no one has tried it." He was referring to the fact that men prefer to try "churchanity" rather than the Teachings of the Christ, Michael the Great Archangel. Do not follow after the creeds and doctrines of men for they are like cisterns that do not hold water.

The Kingdom of God is not focused in any world religion or esoteric organization. DN2 407

The Roman Catholic Church stands against any new presentation of truth. This intellectual stupidity must inevitably spell its eventual doom. POH 130+

The Vatican must cease its political scheming and exploiting the masses by emphasizing ignorance. The Protestants must bridge their many divisions. If none of this is done, humanity is headed towards a religious war which will make the past war appear like child's play. EOH 545

The Protestant Churches, ever protesting, are a quarreling, fanatical and intolerant body of believers. POH 132

The Master Jesus will effect a re-spiritualization of the Catholic churches, breaking down the barriers separating the Episcopal, and Greek churches from the Roman beginning about 1980. TCF 759

Organized religion has much to answer for because of its fanatical emphasis upon doctrinal pronouncements, and its penalization of those who fail to accept such dicta has served to stultify the human approach to God and reality. Its over-emphasis upon the unattainable and its sense of sin have led to many disastrous conditions, distorted lives, morbidity, sadistic attitudes, self-righteousness, ultimate despair and the negation of truth. The churches in the West have refused officially to recognize the Law of Rebirth and have thereby wandered into a theological impasse and into a cul-de-sac from which there is no possible exit. POH 142

The failure of Christianity can be traced to its Jewish background (emphasized by St. Paul), which made it full of propaganda instead of loving action; which taught the blood sacrifice instead of loving service; which emphasized the existence of a wrathful God, needing to be placated by death; and which embodied the threats of the Old Testament Jehovah in the Christian teaching of hell fire. The present world faiths must return to their early simplicity; and orthodox Judaism, with its deep-seated hate, must slowly disappear. EOH 543

Palestine should no longer be called the holy land. It is no longer holy and is desecrated by selfish interests. Jerusalem stands for nothing of importance today. Judaism is old, obsolete, separative and has no true message for the spiritually minded. The Moslem faith has served its purpose. The Christian faith also has served its purpose. RAI 754

The Greek Orthodox Church reached such a high stage of corruption, graft, greed, and sexual evil, that its abolishment in Russia after the revolution was a wise, needed and right action. POH 131

Out of Russia will emerge a new and magical religion. DON 61

The Theosophists are too apt to think that they alone are the repositories of the wisdom religion. LOM 302

The unhappy results of man's own thinking has given us: the doctrine of a vengeful God, retribution in some mythical hell, teaching that God only loves those who interpret Him in some particular school of thought, the symbolism of blood sacrifice, the teaching about the Virgin Birth, an angry deity only appeased by death, sectarian isolationism, a sense of fear - all of these fostered by theology, but not by Christ, Buddha or Krishna. Theological seminaries must begin to teach men to think for themselves and that only those truths which are universal in every religion are truly necessary to salvation. The day of theology is over and that of a living truth is with us. This the orthodox churches refuse to recognize. POH 127+

No one with any true reasoning power or with true belief in a loving God accepts the heaven of churchmen. POH 143

The New Group of World Servers (NGWS) will supersede all churches, all groups and all organizations; and will eventually constitute the oligarchy of elect souls who will govern and guide the world. TWM 399

The Hierarchy cares not whether a man is a democrat, a socialist, or a communist, or whether his is Catholic, a Buddhist, or an unbeliever. It only cares for humanity as a whole. RAI 748
