Mat 16:26 (KJV) For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
(Mat 16:26) This is the acid test, both of a person's position in evolution - the age of the soul - and of his
uttermost sincerity in embarking upon the spiritual life. Ultimately a final choice must be made that wordly
possessions are attained for purely practical purposes and never for power, prestige and self-indulgence or
ostentation. Wealth as stewardship is permissible. Wealth as an obessive objective is impermissible; for the
former leads to spiritual light and the latter to spiritual darkness.
