T.N.G. SIGNS
OF THE TIMES - N.M. December 23,
2003 (#127)
Greetings from
Russell's Remnant: www.oocities.org/dkone_us
Dr. Russell Whitesell pointed out to his classes that the Great Teachers on the planet are very concerned about how adults treat children. D.K. (Djwhal Khul) made the following statements:
Children (up to 16 years of age) of the
world is, without exception, the most urgent confronting humanity today. POH 32
The problem of
the children, greater than all other problems, underlies the necessity for
world rebuilding. The children have
prior claim upon all men. EOH 385
BULLIES
ON NOTICE:
Dr. Phil McGraw and his son Jay
produced a television program on 2/27/03 about the problem of bullies in our
schools. The show pointed out that:
150,000 children in America do not go
to school each day because of some bully at school.
The third leading cause of suicide
among teenagers is “bullying” – called “Bullycide”.
We are not just talking about
pushing and shoving, but we are talking about emotional terrorism – like
viscious threats, gossip, name calling, and making kids feel like outcasts.
Teen bullies call it fun to bully
other kids. One bully on the show
stated, “I pick on weaker kids because I think it is fun.
Parents of bullies often justify
their child bullying others by saying that the bullied child caused their child
to bully others.
Bullies choose those to pick on by
deciding which kids they can pick on and then beat them up if they fight
back. They choose the weak ones. Some bullies bully their own parents.
Research shows that bullies have
high self-esteem. They pick on the ones
with low self-esteem.
Bullies strut around after bullying
others. They are arrogant about
it. They pick on others to make
themselves feel better about themselves.
They believe that if others are afraid of them, they will be
respected. The opposite is true. Bullies are talked about behind their backs.
Bullies have a strong sense of
excitement and believe that everything is just suppose to go the way they want
it to go. They believe that the
universe revolves around them. A few
bullies will one day grab a hold of someone who it will not be easy to get go
of, and they get their come-upence.
(Editors
note: At one school, a bully had picked on other kids for a year or two when
one day he pick on a quiet, rather introverted type young boy. When the bully turned his wrath on the young
quiet man, the young man began physically whipping the bully around the
gymnasium. The coach and teachers saw
what was happening, they smiled and turned their heads away and ignored the
bully getting beat up.)
Those bullied end up with no self
confidence or self-esteem – and eventually with no defense, and they give up.
The
authorities at the schools (the teachers, counselors, principals,
school-boards) say unless they have physical scares, they cannot do anything.
Dr. Phil told one girl that if the
school didn’t hear her complaints, “I’ll bet you they will hear me.”
Two-thirds
of all school shootings are caused by bullying including the shooting in
Columbine, Colorado.
Most victims of bullying turn their
feelings inward and some kill themselves.
One
mother got no help from the school district or law enforcement after her son
was brutally beaten. Three weeks later,
he took a .357 magnum pistol and killed himself. Where were the teachers and administrators when all this was
going on? They said they could not do
anything. “Without the help of the
local school administrators we, the parents, were helpless. Without the help of the local police
departments, we were helpless,” the distraught mother told Phil.
Nothing happened at all to the
bullies that drove this child to his death.
This
bullying is most prevalent in middle-schools and junior high schools.
Dr. Phil
McGraw stated, “I hate bullies!”
His son Jay stated anti-bully pledges for students, parents and school
teachers. These sample pledges against
bullying can be found at - www.drphil.com. These pledges ask others to stamp out school
bullying, to report to the school faculty, and to not tolerate bullying by
having members of the student body surround the bully rather than walking
away. Those who walk away are just as
bad as the bully. Schools are getting
these pledges at the website and hope to stamp out bullying in every school in
America. Dr. Phil and Jay want every
school to get the pledge and ask the kids to sign it.
Dr. Phil
stated, “If schools and police won’t stop it, maybe the kids themselves will
sign the pledge and stop it.

(This problem
may even be worse outside of schools)
Rita
Rubin writing for USA Today stated that bullies and their victims tend
to be more violent, especially if the bullying took place away from schools
rather than in it. Bullying away from
school may be more severe than bullying at school.
Likely to carry weapons:
In school: Kids who
were bullied ….. 1.5 times more likely
Kids who bullied others ….. 2.5 times more likely
Away from school: Kids who were bullied ……
4 times more likely
Kids who bullied others …... 6
times more likely
Those who are
bullied carry weapons because they might think they are in danger. Many adults wrongly dismiss bullying as a
normal part of growing up.

D.K. also made
the following statements in the Alice Bailey books:
A
re-organization of the legal profession motivated by legislation for children
will come about primarily in Russia and endorsed by the U.S.A. will occur
before 2035 A.D. EA 238
Crime
will be stamped out when a child's environment is bettered; with attention to
the glands, teeth, eyes, ears, right posture and correct feeding; a more proper
apportionment to time; attention to esoteric psychology and esoteric
astrology. EA 237
Children
should be studied in the following directions:
Astrologically - to determine life tendencies and the peculiar problem
of the soul. Psychologically - in accord
with knowledge of the seven ray types.
Medically - with special attention to the endocrine system. Vocationally - where gifts and capacities
can be expressed and Spiritually - noting where the age of the soul is. ENA 10
The
majority of children born now have come into being accidentally or are not
wanted. Some few are desired, but even
in these cases, that desire is usually based on reasons of heredity, property
to be passed on, and old name to be perpetuated or an unfilled ambition to be
satisfied. EP1 297
Education
of the world's children must be built upon our similarities, our creative
achievements, our spiritual idealisms and our points of contact. The
two major ideas that should be taught to the children are: the value of the
individual and the fact of the one humanity. ENA 46
Today's
average child (for the first five of six years):
is the victim of his parents'
ignorance, selfishness, or lack of interest,
is frequently kept quiet and out of
the way because his parents are too busy with their own affairs - busy with
nonessential matters, compared to giving their child a right start,
is left to his own resources or
those of some ignorant nursemaid, at a stage when a destructive little animal
should be developed into a constructive little citizen.
is dragged hither and thither
according to his parent's whims,
is sent to school with a sense of
relief on their part, in order to get him occupied and out of the way.
at school is frequently under the
care of some young, ignorant though well-meaning person.
By this time the mischief is done and the form of his later
educational processes (from eleven onward) is of small moment. It is obvious that the majority of children
get off to a wrong start and begin life basically handicapped. ENA 74+
