Greetings from Russell's Remnant:                                                                                  www.oocities.org/dkone_us

Humanity’s Spiritual Standing

Many years ago, Dr. Russell Whitesell was giving a lecture to the members of the Tuesday Night Group and their guests at a then metaphysical bookstore in Metairie, Louisiana.  His lecture that night had been on the subject of the glamour that hinders people’s spiritual growth and why it takes lifetimes to overcome all the tests that the Great Hierarchy of Masters put individuals through before they are given the “meat” of spiritual understanding, and why the Teachers must continue for lifetimes to give out the “milk” of the spiritual teachings to 99% of humanity.

While giving this talk, Russell gave some advice that was given to him by his Teacher many years ago in regard to the maya, glamour and illusions humanity faces on this planet.  Russell’s Teacher told Russell that each individual should do something every day of their life and that something was this.  As each individual looks in the mirror each morning before starting their day, they should look at themselves in the mirror, smile, throw back their head and laugh at themselves as they say the following, “YOU FOOL!  YOU JOKE!  YOU FRAUD!”

Looking up the meanings of those three words in a dictionary will help one understand just how foolish we human beings really are in relation to the real Holy Men and Women on this planet.  i.e.

Fool:            a person with little or no judgment, common sense, wisdom, etc.

                        a silly or stupid person

                        a simpleton

                        a professional jester

a victim of a joke or trick

                        a dupe

one who spends time in trifling or pointless activity

                        one who fritters away foolishly

                        a clown

                        a windbag

Joke:            someone who has an amusing trick played on them

the humorous element in a situation

a person to be laughed at

a person not to be taken seriously

                        one who excites laughter

Fraud:            one who uses deceit, trickery or cheating

one who uses deception to cause someone to give up a lawful right

a person who deceives or is not what he pretends to be

                        an imposter

As one can see, Russell’s great Teacher was explaining to him why it is so difficult to teach humanity the deeper truth about the world scriptures.  It takes lifetimes to master the lessons.  That is why the Great Ones are called “Masters.”  They have mastered themselves by eliminating their ego and desires.  That is why Krisha told Arjuna to do his duty as a soldier for the divine being had already decided who will die that day.  That is why Buddha taught his disciples to kill out “desire.”  And that is why Jesus cried out, “Not my will Father, but thine.”

That is why the Old Testament prophet stated:  Ecclesiastes 1:2 (KJV) “Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.”

That is also why Master Morya, the Manu of the planet, stated:  “If you knew how often We have to praise sandpiles, calling them castles.  Of course, We rejoice at the enthusiasm aflame.”   Morya’s Garden Volume 2 pp. 153+

That is also why Dr. Whitesell told that class, “The true spiritual world is upside down and backwards to the world we live here on Earth.”
