Don's Spanking Pages

I was in a restaurant where they had a sort of Muzak playing -- pop hits of a good many years ago.
One of them struck chord in me (so to speak) and this is what came out -- or rather the chorus did.
I appealed to the SSS newsgroup, and learned that this was "Romeo's Song" by Steve Forbert.
I eventually got a CD with the original song, but nothing more seemed to click. Someone (Bori, I think)
asked about it when I reposted the chorus recently. I was moved to dig up the CD, and this time
things just fell in to place So here is the new, expanded version

Beat Me
or
The Subbie's Song

(With Apologies to Steve Forbert)
(Copyright © 1996, 1999 by Don A. Landhill)

Beat me in the middle of the day,
and you'll hear me say "Everything's OK",
Give me stinging "kisses" with your broom.
Beat me in the middle of the night
hear me recite "Everything's all right"
See my scarlet moons and make me swoon

Oh your cane and switch will rise and fall and there's always something more
Your scolding talk just wastes our time 'cause it's all been said before
While further down, behind your paddle's shade the tears are there
I don't ask for all that much I just want someone to care,

So right now,

Beat me in the middle of the day,
and you'll hear me say "Everything's OK",
Give me stinging "kisses" with your broom.
Beat me in the middle of the night
hear me recite "Everything's all right"
See my scarlet moons and make me swoon

Oh yes, oh yes

Oh It's dom and sub and we must go down into that dungeon drear
Where you know how to make me mind when I claim that I can't hear
With shreds of clothes but no afterthoughts for our complicated scenes
You'll tie me down till I look just right -- like a bondage magazine

Yes tie me down now, and

Beat me in the middle of the day,
and you'll hear me say "Everything's OK",
Give me stinging "kisses" with your broom.
Beat me in the middle of the night
hear me recite "Everything's all right"
See my scarlet moons and make me swoon

Beat me in the middle of the day,
and you'll hear me say "Everything's OK",
Let me see you standing over me.
Beat me in the middle of the night
hear me recite "Everything's all right"
Hold me tight my lover - make me free!

O-KAY!
