About Laura's Spanking Corner

Laura's Spanking Corner (formerly at <http://www.goodkitty.com/spanking>, now at <http://www.thespankingcorner.com>) was one of the first spanking story sites I ever encountered. It was also one of the largest, and IMO one of the very best. It was, in many ways, the inspiration for this site.

Recently (as I write this in march 2001) Laura has announced that she is retiring the site. She cites both personal reasons (lack of interest and time) and financial ones (an annual web hosting fee of about $2,000 US) for this decision. I can hardly argue with these choices, but I am saddened by them.

Laura's site has been a wonderful place to visit, and a marvelous contribution to our community -- doubly so with Deja's long term archive no longer available.

Thank you very much Laura, for all the work you put into the site, and into ASS & SSS over the years.

Let no one forget Laura's contributions is helping SSS get started, including serving as the initial moderation host, and writing the moderation bot.

Thank you also, Laura, for the large amount of money you have spent in making your site available, as well as the large amount of time.

I am very sad to hear that Laura W. has not been in the best of spirits lately. I wish her very well indeed.

Since I wrote the above Laura's site is back online at its old address, hosting services having been provided by Fishing Girl, an SSS regular, at no further cost to Laura. Thanks and cheers! Here's hoping that there will be some updates soon, but even without them, it is a great site indeed.

Since I wrote the above the spanking corner has moved to a new site (not part of laura's personal site) and is being maintained by someone else. The new address is <http://www.thespankingcorner.com>. The site is basically the same as it always was, with perhaps a few updates, but is still well worth visiting. Give it a try.
