Dragonfly

Nysheth bugled suddenly as the last three dragonets darted to find their riders. Kahii looked to where Nysheth was beaming proudly as a blue butted Kavan. He has sunset and night speckles the queen beamed as Jawyth warbled to his rider that he was indeed very hungry.
One thing all the spectators said they saw impress, despite what was around her, was a peculiar little green who seemed a bit more shinny then the others. Jintha didn’t quite know what to call the little green as she made her way toward some of the girls until Keraveth stood before her, arching her wings. Try green with some emerald speckles, Keraveth grinned and Jintha nodded.

Jintha had always been preoccupied about her own looks, but this time she had someone elses looks to be preoccupied about! Cooing softly as she beamed when others set admiring glances their way, Jintha fed Keraveth another sliver of her meat before nodding, half satisfied by the slightly bloated belly. "You are full now?" she teased, and she was sure she heard Keraveth utter the most unlady like burp. Giggling, she helped the little hatchling stand and waddled together to where Kavan was preening with his blue. Well, the hatchling waddled. No one would dare accuse Jintha of doing the same act!
Her hide of green spun with emerald seemed to glimmer under the slightly too harsh light, and the hatchling began to carry herself almost like a queen, preening for she was the first emerald speckled green to have hatched at Falas Weyr. What do you mean, the first? Am I not supposed to be the only? the green sounded almost hurt in tone, and Jintha laughed.
"Even if there are others, you will surely be the best." she assured the hatchling, and watched pleased as the hatchling nodded. They were one of a kind, really.

"Thank you, yes he is beautiful, isn't he?" K'van grinned a wicked little grin as he looked over. "A touch of sunset like the famous Zenith!" he proclaimed loudly, and paused to look over at a young girl. "Hey, what about you and me later..."
If I'm too young to chase after girls, then you're not allowed to either. the stubborn husky tone of the sunset night caused K'van to turn, and grin an amused grin. Besides... they like me more than they like you both sniggered, and while Kavan was the only one who could hear them both, they sounded so identical, so evil that it was... scary.
"K'van!" turning, his face brightened as he saw Jintha walking towards them, and the small green by her side. Grinning, he nodded and waved back at her, turning to Jawyth with a wink.
"Friend, be nice." he warned, but really had no need to. The bond between them was so tight, it was almost as if they were copies of each other.
I'm always nice with a smirk, Jawyth looked up at the rider and her newly bonded, and nodded his head. Very nice
K'van looked down, surprised by the depth in that tone and laughed. "Hey." he warned. "No ideas now."
Me? Never

"Well Keraveth." Jintha paused. "There are alot of dragons in the world...." she started to saw, and watched as the emerald green dragoness swung her form around to watch her rider steadily. Wincing at the words which would leave her mouth, because Jintha had grown to be much more... placated and diplomatic with Keraveth, she hesitated. "So you can't exactly blame the fact that some riders don't want their dragons to." she paused. "Reproduce?"
That is so nice the nicest thing to say the green paused. While she was a smart dragon, and Falasian dragons were very smart... there was a reason that a green brains was meant to be an insult. Are you saying that you don't want me to have babies? she sounded almost hurt, and Jintha tried to think of something appropriate to say.
"Well." there was tons of excuses lining up in her mind, and she felt so bad towards the green dragoness, she didn't know which one to choose.
Okay then. Jintha blinked. That was it? "Okay?" she echoed rather dumbly, and watched as in a feline fashion, the green reached over and shook her wings around, drying her sails under the calm sun. "Okay?" she frowned.
That's what I said. Okay. I'm okay with it... it's not like I'm good with children, anyways. the green looked over, eyes whirling a delighted blue as she smiled a smug smirk. Got you though, didn't I?

"How the...." grumbling under his breath, K'van reached for the large sack and tried tossing it into the air, only to realize he had aimed incorrectly and got pushed out of the way as the sack promptly crushed any life from his original spot. Landing on his bum, he looked up, frowning. "Ouch."
Would you rather that I had allowed my rider to die a quick death right now and be the embarressment of society because he was killed by a bag of firestone? the blue sunset asked innocently, watching his rather bemused rider and swinging his tail in thriumph.
"Oh, you." getting up and picking up the load, he shook his head. "They should bring faster technology to this world..."
But it wouldn't be as fun for us dragons. the Jawyth protested mildly, and smirked.

Jintha and K'van become a couple, an unlikely one because they allow each other to see as many other men and women as they want. Jintha, becomes a valuable fighter due to KErventh's rather large 22.4m's span of height while Jawyth becomes a search rider, his sunset markings making him stand out because all know of his ancestory.
