“You, you woman interfere in businesses that you have no right interfering within.” With a grumble, Mino turned and watched the woman with beady eyes as he looked around. “A man of my distinct age is not supposed to stand at a place like this surrounded by… by children!”
“Mino, are you calling me old?”
“What does that have to do with you?” he almost exploded, at he not seen the teasing glint in her eyes. “We are old, Kara mex.”
“You may be.” She sniffed. “But I’m not.” However it was a matter that was pressing in both of their minds, and she turned with a smile. “It is unusual.” She admitted with a half grin. “We’ve already gone through half of our lives… but think Mino.” Spreading her arms wide and spinning slightly as she looked around Darkling Dawn, she chuckled low in her throat. “We’ll have a new life ahead of us…”
Mino’s lips twitched in a smile. “You meddling woman.” He teased fondly, and yet he walked over and placed his hand on hers, shrugging as he did so. “How do you think the children are?”
“I thought you didn’t care.”
“Of course I do.” With a sliding glance, he arched a brow. “We can’t have them thinking I’m a good guy, hmm?”
