THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY SPECTACULAR!
Hello there! Orion Pax, my first ever RP character, was created in Cyberslam on October 19, 1999. Occasionally, when October 19 comes up, I choose to make somewhat of an event about it. I say “occasionally” though because many years I just simply forget.
Not 2002 though. In 2002, on the third anniversary of my entering this foray (having moved over from Cyberslam to Wrassle after the former’s fall in 2001) I was running three characters. I had Charon in the UCE, Jailbait in the NGPW, and Nakedman in the CWA (I had only re-made Naked to have someone to support the AoD with in the first ever Stable Wars, but I decided to keep him around afterwards) .
On October 19, 2002, all three of my characters were “replaced” by Orion Pax to mark the anniversary. Pax stuck around for a couple of days in each fed, and interacted with the various groups therein. To make him a little different, each Pax was tweaked a little – I made the one in UCE good (an Autobot), the one in the NGPW evil (a Decepticon) and the one in the CWA a little more crazy than the other two, though he was pretty close to the UCE one since they’re all crazy.
I archived all the posts I made for this third anniversary event, knowing that one day I’d upload them somewhere… maybe. For some reason I decided not to archive posts made by others which were continued off of me or which I continued from. This was pretty dumb, as it makes the plotlines jump around a bit with bits missing in the middle. Oh well, c’est la vie. Anyway, here are the posts, divided up into four convenient blocks for ease… Orion Pax Entrances (All 3 Feds)
For some arbitrary reason I’ve decided to place the three entrance posts into one page together instead of actually taking the three and inserting them with the other pages for the corresponding feds. In the future I may do that, but I’m too lazy to change how it looks now, so live with it.
3rd Anniversary in NGPW: Evil Pax
This was the fed I was most active in at the time. I always try to retroactively pretend like Jailbait was a secondary character that I was just running as a mocking joke. In actuality – at least at this point in time – I was posting like twice as much with this character as any others. Hence this was the most active version of Pax. And it didn’t hurt that the Evil version by default would be cooler than any other version and therefore more interesting. The NGPW PPV this month was set in Hawaii, and we can see Evil Orion Pax’s trek there including an eventual cameo appearance by Arsenic which I’m not sure is entirely canon. I mainly interacted with El Jobre Magnifico – and this was the month he broke the all-time monthly Wrassle loss record.
3rd Anniversary in CWA: Crazy Pax
Crazy Pax replaced Nakedman. This archive may be a bit interesting to many since the CWA Orion Pax run coincided with the now-famous Hockey Game. Like I said above, oddly I decided at the time not to archive the RPs of the people I was working with – but only my own posts – so much of the game is missing. However, reading the bits of it I put up may help those who were in it recall some of the other zaniness that ensued. Good times. Good times.
3rd Anniversary in UCE: Good Pax
Charon was replaced by Good Pax, who was pretty similar to Crazy Pax. Nothing really notable happened in the UCE at all during this time, unfortunately. This was just one of those months where the fed that has often been thought of as the best National in Wrassle was clearly not. My waning interest in the Charon character in general didn’t help either. A few days after I ended this 3rd Anniversary, it was the end of the month and I decided to drop Charon to the regionals (where he would eventually just stop posting) and shift Jailbait to the UCE in his place. These facts are reflected in the fact that this page is only about 40% the size of the NGPW page.
And here are some interesting cross-fed tidbit for you:
* I kill off Orion Pax at the end of each of these storylines. Read ‘em all and see how each one dies. No really, do it. Please!
* In addition to myself being in all three of these feds, my then-roommate ( known to most in these parts as Holy Evil) was ALSO in all three. In NGPW he was El Jobre Magnifico, in CWA he was Ryan McBain, and in UCE he was Mittens the AoD Cat.
