The Day The Angels Sighed

Today we stopped to say a prayer
in world wide unity
We all joined hands across the lands
such an awesome sight to see

Rich man, poor man, young and old
from all creeds and walks of life
Praying for the lost and missing
our husbands and our wives

And during these minutes of silence
and stillness in the air
You could hear the angels sighing
their presence was everywhere

They were gathering up our prayers
the ones said by you and me
Lifting them up to the Heavens
bringing the Lord our heartfelt pleas

May we again take this opportunity
and ask that wherever you stand
To pray for the perished and missing
and for the whole Brotherhood of Man
